'I took mushrooms before my audition': Smiths drummer Mike Joyce on wild gigs, Marr's jim-jams and Morrissey's genius

OMG 🤯 I'm literally shaking over here 😱 thinking about how rough it must've been for Mike Joyce being part of The Smiths. Like, can you even imagine the pressure they were under? And to find out they were only getting 10% of their royalties? It's just mental 💡. I don't blame him for going after them in court, but at the same time, it's crazy how much drama went down within the band. Morrissey and Marr are total geniuses, but Joyce's right that you can't separate the art from the artist 🤷‍♂️. Anyway, this memoir is giving me all the feels 😭 and I need to go listen to The Smiths on repeat now 🎵
