JFK airport workers scramble for last remaining MetroCards to get AirTrain discount

I feel so bad for these airport workers 🤕 I mean, who hasn't been in that situation where you're trying to save some cash but it's just not gonna cut it? $17 a day is like... wow. That's crazy! They need some kind of help or they'll be stuck paying more than they can afford.

I've had friends who work at airports too, and they always have to deal with crazy traffic and stuff, so I can imagine how stressful this must be for them 🚗😬. I'm hoping someone at the Port Authority figures out a way to make it easier for them, maybe like an unlimited pass or something? That would be amazing.

It's just not right that they're being left high and dry like this 😩. The MTA should do something about it, it's not fair to these people who are already working hard 🙏. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that someone comes up with a solution soon!

I mean, can you believe this?! They're gonna charge $17 a day for the AirTrain now? It's like they're trying to suck the life out of these workers! Remember when we used to have those MetroCards back in the day? You could buy 30-day passes for like, $60 or something. Now it's all about this new OMNY system and it's just so... convoluted. And what's with the Port Authority being slow on the uptake? They need to get their act together and offer some kind of alternative or these poor workers are gonna be stuck paying an arm and a leg for a daily commute 🤦‍♂️💸

🚨 Airport workers are in a tight spot with the end of MetroCards 🚂💸 The Port Authority needs to step up its game and offer a plan to help these employees out. $17 a day for the AirTrain is crazy talk! 🤯 They're already struggling, and now they gotta worry about their daily commute? It's time for some creative problem-solving from our airport leaders 💡. Maybe a 30-day unlimited pass option would be the answer? That way everyone can get to work without breaking the bank 💸. The MTA is already making it hard with its own OMNY system, so the Port Authority needs to catch up and support its employees 🤝. This isn't just about airport workers; it's about keeping our economy moving forward 🚀. We need a solution, pronto! ⏰

Ugh 🤕 this is just great, another example of how things are gonna fall apart when no one's looking. I mean, come on $17 a day for the AirTrain? That's crazy talk! They're basically pricing out their own employees, who are already struggling to make ends meet. And now they're expecting them to shell out even more cash just because they can't get a decent deal anymore? Not cool, Port Authority 😒. It's like you're trying to rob your workers blind and then wonder why they're not happy about it. And what's with the MTA's OMNY system, anyway? Just another way for them to squeeze every last penny out of people...
