Judge blocks additional citizenship provisions in latest setback to Trump's election executive order

man this is crazy 🤯 I'm so relieved that the judge stepped in and blocked those voter ID laws 🙌 It's like the government was trying to shut down voting rights for low-income folks and military personnel, who are already struggling 🤝 The fact that we're talking about "election security" when it comes to people already registered to vote is just laughable 😂 I mean come on, voting by non-citizens is super rare, so why are we bothering with proof of citizenship? 🤷‍♀️ It's all about making sure everyone can participate in the democratic process without being turned away at the door 🎉 Can't wait to see what other surprises the courts have up their sleeves on this one 👀

idk about this ruling... seems like a big deal but is it really? i mean, voting by noncitizens is super rare and states already have their own rules in place to prevent that from happening. also, who's to say that proof of citizenship isn't necessary for some folks? but at the same time, i get why some people might see this as a way to disenfranchise military personnel or families overseas... it just feels like another example of political grandstanding 🤔

I'm like "what's the big deal? 🤷‍♂️" about proof-of-citizenship requirements, I mean if you're eligible to vote, why not verify your status? It's just common sense, right? But seriously, this ruling is a win for those who want to make sure everyone can participate in elections without fear of being turned away. And let's be real, Trump's executive order was probably more about 'us vs. them' politics than actual election security. 🤔
