K-pop virtual idol group PLAVE has teamed up with Sanrio, the beloved Japanese entertainment company behind characters like Hello Kitty and My Melody, for a new single album called 'PLBBUU'. The six-member group, consisting of Yejun, Noah, Bamby, Eunho, Hamin, and their virtual counterparts dressed in Sanrio character outfits, released the album this past Monday as a gift to their fans.
The three-track album features 'BBUU!', previously released Japanese digital single "숨바꼭질 (Hide and Seek)", and Korean track "봉숭아 (Bongsoong-a)". All five members of PLAVE were involved in the production, writing, and composition of the tracks.
The music video for "BBUU!" showcases the Sanrio characters alongside chibi versions of the PLAVE members on a fantasy island where they go on rides, share tea, and dance together.

but at the same time, i think it's kinda weird that they're making physical copies of their album available... don't get me wrong, it's cool for fans to have something tangible, but let's be real, the environment and all that jazz. 
plus, with the way technology is advancing, aren't we like, basically just delaying the shift to digital forever? 
still, i guess it's nice that they're doing their part to bring people together... and those Sanrio character outfits though!
