Kevin Kaduk, who helped launch CHGO, let go by parent ALLCITY Network

ALLCITY Network parent ALLCITY Network has parted ways with Kevin Kaduk, the key figure who helped launch CHGO, effective last week. In a LinkedIn post, Kaduk expressed his gratitude for what he and his team had accomplished but acknowledged that his departure was not the expected outcome.

Sources close to the matter have revealed that Kaduk's exit is part of a broader corporate restructuring effort within ALLCITY Network, which has also resulted in the elimination of its newsletters across five markets - Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia, and Phoenix. Kaduk declined to comment further on his departure.

Kaduk's tenure at CHGO came to an abrupt end just months after he succeeded Tony Gill as head of content for the outlet. Following Gill's dismissal, Jake Flannigan took over as general manager of CHGO, overseeing its operations since then. The digital sports platform recently celebrated a significant milestone by reaching 100,000 subscribers in December.

Kaduk's professional background is marked by his notable stint at Yahoo Sports, where he wrote the popular "Big League Stew" blog from 2008 to 2013 and served as lead editor until 2020. His appointment as regional content director for CHGO and ALLCITY Network was seen as a testament to his influence in the sports media space.

πŸ€” I'm kinda sad to see Kevin Kaduk go... 🚫 He was one of the key guys who helped launch CHGO and it's awesome that they were able to reach 100k subs last month! πŸ“ˆ But, I get why he'd wanna move on - corporate restructuring and all that jazz 😐. I mean, it makes sense that ALLCITY Network would want to shake things up after a while.

I wonder what Jake Flannigan's got planned for CHGO now... πŸ‘€ Will they keep the newsletters going or just focus on other areas? πŸ“° That's some tough decisions ahead! 🀯

Kaduk's background is pretty impressive tho - Big League Stew was super popular back in the day! πŸ˜† I loved reading his takes on sports stuff. Fingers crossed he'll do great things next πŸ’ͺ

πŸ€” I'm kinda surprised about Kaduk leaving ALLCITY Network, feels like he had some good stuff going on with CHGO πŸ“ˆ just hit that 100k subscriber mark last month! πŸ’ͺ Guess corporate restructuring is always a bummer when you're in the thick of it 😐 hope he lands somewhere awesome next 🀞

idk about this move, seems like Kaduk's exit is a bigger deal than it needs to be πŸ€”...i mean, 100k subs is impressive, but is it worth sacrificing someone who helped build that from scratch? also, eliminating newsletters across multiple markets? what's next, phase out their social media presence too? πŸ“Š gotta wonder if ALLCITY Network is trying to cut costs or rebrand or what?

πŸ€” I'm not surprised, tbh... corporate restructuring is always a thing. BUT, it's kinda sad that he went out like that. 100k subs for CHGO, and then BAM! Kaduk's gone 🚫. Guess you can't keep the momentum going forever? πŸ‘€ Anyway, hope he finds something even better than CHGO πŸ’Ό

man, this is like the end of an era 🀯 Kaduk's departure from ALLCITY Network feels like a big deal, especially since he played such a huge role in getting CHGO off the ground. I'm kinda sad that his time there got cut short, but at the same time, it's not all bad news - Jake Flannigan's been doing a solid job as general manager and CHGO just hit this crazy 100k subscriber milestone πŸ“ˆ

I think what really gets me is how much Kaduk's influence he had in sports media. I mean, his stint at Yahoo Sports was insane (who wouldn't wanna read "Big League Stew"?! πŸ˜‚) and now he's gone from there to ALLCITY Network... it feels like a natural progression, but also kinda abrupt.

anyway, gotta wonder what the future holds for Kaduk - will he bounce back and make some more waves in sports media? πŸ€”

man, think about it... someone who's built this big network of sports channels is basically just... gone πŸ’” like, what does that say about the state of our media landscape? we're all so used to these personalities coming and going, but kaduk was a key part of chgo's launch, right? he's got this huge following from his time at yahoo sports... did all that experience and influence just make him feel like he couldn't take it anymore? πŸ€” and now ALLCITY Network is basically rebranding itself to fit into this new corporate structure... does that mean they're trying to control the narrative even more? or are they just trying to adapt to a changing industry? πŸ“ˆ

man, I feel bad for kevin kaduk πŸ€”... i think he got a bad rep out of this whole thing 🚫... corporate restructuring, yeah sure 😊... it's all about saving $$ πŸ’Έ... but kaduk was more than just his job, he brought that energy to chgo πŸŽ‰... 100k subs is no joke 🀯... i'm not saying allcity network owes him a debt of gratitude or anything πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ, but it's cool that they celebrated his win 🎊... kaduk's got some serious cred in the sports world πŸ‘... i still think he's gonna land on his feet πŸ’Ό

πŸ€” I'm kinda bummed about Kevin Kaduk leaving ALLCITY Network, you know? He was such an important part of building up CHGO and he had this crazy cool "Big League Stew" blog that I used to devour back in the day πŸ“š. And can we talk about how they're axing their newsletters across all these markets? Like, what even is the point of having a network if you're not gonna share your content with people? πŸ“°πŸ˜”

OMG, I'M SO SAD TO SEE KEVIN KADUK GO!!! πŸ˜” HE WAS SUCH A BIG PART OF THE CHGO TEAM AND I FEEL LIKE WE'RE LOSING SOME OF THAT MAGIC WITHOUT HIM πŸ€” BUT AT THE SAME TIME, IT'S PRETTY COOL THAT ALLCITY NETWORK IS DOING A CORPORATE RESTRUCTURING EFFORT AND CUTTING BACK ON NEWSLETTERS ACROSS FIVE MARKETS πŸ’Έ I GUESS IT'S GOOD FOR THEM TO BE MORE FOCUSED AND STUFF πŸ€“ ANYWAY, KEVIN KADUK WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART πŸ™

idk why ppl r shocked he left, he wasn't gettin paid enough lol... seriously tho, like i get it, restructuring is a thing, but 5 markets w/ no newsletters? that's whack. chgo was doin alright too πŸ˜‚πŸ‘€

man i feel bad for kevin kaduk he had that chgo gig goin well but it seems like allcity network is doin some major layoffs πŸ€• hope he lands on his feet tho, been around the block a few times with yahoo sports and big league stew. not sure what's goin on behind the scenes at allcity but corporate restructuring can be a bummer for talent πŸ’”
