"I was leaving the store on my scooter, had my head turned, and before I could turn around, I hit the pothole," Lambert said. "I ended up in a ditch, with a lacerated jaw, four teeth knocked out of my mouth, and my lip sewn back together."
The accident has prompted Lambert to file a 311 request for the street's repair. To his relief, the issue was addressed promptly, but he expressed concerns that other potholes on the same street remain unchecked.
"We put in some rocks because someone came through and hit their transmission, knocking all the oil out of the oil pan," Lambert explained. "There are still several holes that worry me."

how many times do we need to see someone get hurt because of a pothole before we take action?! it's not like this is some isolated incident, people are getting seriously injured on these streets every month. and the fact that there's still rocks being thrown out as a solution 
? come on! can't they just pave the street already?! I'm so glad Joe got support from his neighbors but at what cost?! he's lucky to be alive 
and we need to demand better from our city leaders. 311 requests are a good start but it's time for concrete action

I mean, I'm not saying the city shouldn't, but it's just another example of how accidents happen when we're all driving around on these roads. The fact that Joe Lambert is worried about other potholes still being there after they fixed one issue kinda sucks, though
