I'm so tired of politicians playing this "tough guy" game with local funding
Like, what's next? Threatening to cut off schools or hospitals if they don't do exactly as you say? It's just a power play and it's not going to solve anything. These cities are already doing their part by taking in people who need help
I mean, have Trump ever considered the human side of this issue? The fact that these immigrants are scared because of his rhetoric is what's really broken
And now he's threatening to take away funding from them? It's just cruel. Chicago and other cities know how to manage their budgets, they can find a way to make it work without relying on federal funds
But Trump doesn't care about that, all he cares about is looking tough on immigration
Ugh, I just don't get why politicians can't think with their hearts instead of their egos
