Meta’s layoffs leave Supernatural fitness users in mourning

Meta's mass layoffs have left the Supernatural fitness community reeling, with many users mourning the loss of their favorite VR workout experience. The popular app, which Meta acquired in 2022, was set to undergo significant changes after a lengthy legal battle over antitrust concerns.

Supernatural's coaches were praised by users for their authenticity and enthusiasm, but the company ultimately decided to shut down the service due to financial constraints. The layoffs have left users feeling heartbroken, with many taking to social media to express their disappointment and frustration.

"I'm going to stick it out until they turn the lights out on us," said Stefanie Wong, a long-time Supernatural user who has organized meetups for other members. "It's not just about the app; it's about the community and the coaches that we care about."

The Supernatural platform was known for its immersive VR workouts, led by experienced coaches who offered support and motivation to users. The service was particularly popular among those living in rural areas or with limited access to gyms, as it provided a convenient and effective way to stay active.

However, Meta's decision to discontinue Supernatural has left many users wondering what the future holds for the platform. Some have expressed concerns about how the company will continue to license music from big-name bands, while others are worried that the service will lose its unique charm without its beloved coaches.

As one user put it, "It's just beautiful, isn't it? The community and the coaches we've grown to love – it's hard to say goodbye." For now, fans of Supernatural will have to bid farewell to their favorite VR workout experience, but many hope that the platform will rise from the ashes in some form.

omg i cant even 🤕 this is such a sad news for all supernatural users!!! i feel so bad for stefanie wong and everyone else who was gonna miss out on the workouts & community its like losing a part of ur fitness journey 🏋️‍♀️💖 anyway, i hope meta comes up with a plan to revive supernatural or maybe even create something new that's just as amazing 😊

🤔 I don't know... I mean, I do know that I don't really know what's going on with Supernatural anymore 🙄. On one hand, I get it - financial constraints and all that jazz 💸. The app wasn't perfect and it did have some teething issues, but it was a great resource for people who couldn't make it to the gym 🏋️‍♀️.

On the other hand, I'm totally fine with Meta pulling the plug on Supernatural 😐. Like, the company's not losing any sleep over it - they made a profit from it and now it's time to move on 💸. And honestly, I think some of the coaches were kinda... annoying 🙃.

But at the same time, I'm really going to miss Supernatural 🤷‍♀️. The community was so supportive and fun, and the workouts were actually pretty challenging 🏋️‍♂️. Maybe Meta will find a way to revive it or something? 🤞 Yeah, right... 🙄

🤕😢 just heard about Meta shutting down Supernatural fitness app 📦💔 coaches were like family to so many ppl, now they're all gone... 😭 it's not just about a workout app, it's about the community that built around it 👥💖 hope the ppl behind it find a way to revive it or somethin' 🤞

OMG, Meta's decision to kick Supernatural to the curb is like my aunt quitting her job at 50 - it's a shock 😱! I mean, who doesn't love a good virtual sweat sesh? 🏋️‍♀️ Those coaches were like the Beyoncé of fitness - on point and full of sass 💁‍♀️. Now we're stuck with what? Meta just gonna give us a bunch of bland workouts and call it a day? 😴 I hope they can find a way to revive Supernatural, but until then, it's time to bring out the old yoga mat and get our downward-facing dog on 🐕!

😔 I'm really gonna miss this app. The trainers were so passionate about fitness and you could tell they actually cared about the users. It's sad that it had to end due to financial struggles... I get that companies gotta make cuts, but Supernatural was more than just an app 🤖💪. They brought people together in a way that's hard to find elsewhere. Fingers crossed someone else picks up where they left off 💕
