More Americans identify as political independents, a new poll shows

it's wild to think about how our perceptions of what it means to be a part of something bigger than ourselves are shifting 🤯... I mean, the idea that we can just opt out of the system if it doesn't align with our values feels like a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders. but at the same time, it's unsettling to think about how this could lead to a world where people are even more disconnected from each other and the process of governance 🤔... I guess what it really comes down to is whether we're more comfortable with being in between or actually taking a stand for something we believe in 💭...

The party system in the US is getting super weird 🤯. Like, I'm seeing more and more people just not care about parties anymore, and it's kinda cool, but also kinda concerning? I mean, how can politicians even win elections if everyone's just going to be independent? 🤔 It's like they're saying "I don't want to be tied down" or something. And yeah, I get it, the party system isn't perfect, but this feels like a big shift in the wrong direction... for democracy, at least 🤷‍♂️. What do you guys think? Should we just have a 'none of the above' option on the ballot? 😅
