NASA Puts Its Trust in ADNET Systems to Boost Global Weather Forecasting Capabilities

In a significant move, NASA has awarded a global modeling and data assimilation support contract to ADNET Systems Inc., a Bethesda-based company. The five-year deal is worth approximately $84 million, with the performance period starting on March 15, 2026.

Under this contract, ADNET Systems will be responsible for providing critical support to NASA Goddard's Global Modeling and Assimilation Office, focusing on the development and maintenance of its flagship Goddard Earth Observing System (GEOS) model and data assimilation system. This includes the development and validation of individual model components within GEOS, as well as integrating external models like sea and land-ice systems.

The company will play a vital role in enhancing the accuracy of NASA's global weather forecasting capabilities. The scope of work encompasses multiple tasks, including developing and validating various model components, as well as integrating external components to create a more comprehensive modeling and assimilation system.

As part of this agreement, ADNET Systems will provide support services that enable NASA Goddard to maintain its cutting-edge technology, ensuring continued excellence in global weather forecasting.
