NASA Sets Briefings for SpaceX Crew-12 Mission to Space Station - NASA

NASA is set to hold a series of high-profile briefings in the coming days as it prepares for its SpaceX Crew-12 mission to the International Space Station. On January 30, NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston will host two news conferences: one at 11 am EST to discuss final preparations and launch plans, and another at 1 pm EST featuring the crew members themselves.

The crew of Crew-12 consists of four astronauts - Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway from NASA, Sophie Adenot from the European Space Agency (ESA), and Andrey Fedyaev from Roscosmos. The mission is slated to launch on a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, with the agency exploring options to advance the launch date from its original target of February 15.

Meir, who has previously spent 205 days in space, will be leading the crew as commander. A native of Maine, Meir holds degrees from Brown University and Scripps Institution of Oceanography. She was selected as a NASA astronaut in 2013 and has since served in various roles within the agency.

Hathaway, also a new astronaut to space, is a commander in the US Navy. He hails from Connecticut and holds advanced degrees in physics and flight dynamics from Cranfield University and the US Naval War College. Hathaway boasts over 2,500 hours of flying experience, including combat missions.

Adenot, meanwhile, is an ESA astronaut with a background in engineering and human factors. She graduated from ISAE-SUPAERO in France and has logged more than 3,000 hours flying helicopters.

Lastly, Fedyaev, the third member of the crew, is a Roscosmos cosmonaut who previously spent 186 days on a space station mission. He was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation for his achievements.

NASA's SpaceX Crew-12 mission is set to become one of the most ambitious crew rotations in recent history. With its diverse team and extensive experience among its members, this crew will undoubtedly make history as they embark on their extraordinary journey to the space station.

omg ๐Ÿคฏ I'm literally hyped for this mission!!! SpaceX Crew-12 is gonna be epic with that talented team on board ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‘ฝ Jessica Meir is so inspiring as a commander, I mean 205 days in space? ๐Ÿ’ซ And can we talk about Jack Hathaway's flying experience? over 2,500 hours?! ๐Ÿคฏ how does he stay sane up there though? ๐Ÿ˜‚ what are the chances they'll get to do some cool spacewalks during their mission? ๐Ÿšง๐Ÿ’ช

OMG, can you even imagine the level of awesomeness that's about to go down?! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’ฅ I'm super hyped for the SpaceX Crew-12 mission! The fact that we've got a diverse crew with so much experience between them is just mind-blowing. I mean, think about it - there's Commander Jessica Meir who's already spent 205 days in space, and then you've got Captain Jack Hathaway bringing his combat flying skills to the table... and don't even get me started on Sophie Adenot's helicopter flying hours ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ‘! Andrey Fedyaev's got some serious space cred too - Hero of the Russian Federation, anyone? ๐Ÿ˜Ž It's gonna be so cool to see this crew in action. I'm pretty sure we're looking at one of the most epic crew rotations in history here... Fingers crossed it launches on schedule and that everything goes smoothly for these incredible astronauts! ๐Ÿคž

๐Ÿš€ OMG can you believe it?! A whole new crew is about to blast off into space ๐Ÿคฏ! And I'm literally hyped ๐Ÿ’ฅ just thinking about Jessica Meir leading the mission - she's got so much experience in space, it's crazy ๐ŸŒŸ I love that there are four different nationalities on board too ๐ŸŽ‰ it's gonna be such a cool cultural exchange. I mean, can you imagine being part of that? ๐Ÿ˜ And Andrey Fedyaev is basically a hero from Russia - amazing story! ๐Ÿ’ช

omg I'm so hyped for Crew-12 ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‘ฝ! It's crazy to think about 4 ppl from different countries working together for a mission like this, it's all about global collab and advancing our understanding of space ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ’ซ And I'm loving that Sophie Adenot is on the crew, her background in engineering and human factors is gonna be super helpful for their space journey ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ’ป

omg yaaas i'm literally so hyped for Crew-12!! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‘ฝ meir leading the mission is gonna be AMAZING she's got 205 days of space experience under her belt lol i remember watching her historic dive on the ocean floor wth sophie adenot ๐Ÿคฉ those two are going to bring the fire to ISS!! ๐ŸŒŸ andrey fedyaev's hero status from Russia is giving me life ๐Ÿ™ also, can we talk about how diverse this crew is?!? ๐ŸŒŽ 2,500+ hours of flying experience between the three nasa astronauts and over 3k hours flying helicopters with adenot? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ i'm living for it! lets go crew-12!!! ๐Ÿš€

๐Ÿš€ I'm skeptical about these high-profile briefings... what's really being shared with us? ๐Ÿค” The fact that we're not getting any concrete details or sources on the mission plans is weird. And why are we only hearing from the crew now, but no info on the actual launch date change plans? It seems fishy to me. I need some proof that this isn't just a PR stunt before I get excited about it. ๐Ÿ˜’

๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’ซ omg can you believe we're already getting updates on the SpaceX Crew-12 mission ๐Ÿคฏ! i mean, have you guys seen those hours of flying experience for Jack Hathaway? 2,500+?! that's insane! and jessica meir leading the crew as commander is so cool ๐Ÿ™Œ! i remember when she spent 205 days in space back in 2015... it feels like a lifetime ago ๐Ÿ˜“. and can't wait to see what they'll be up to on the ISS ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’ฅ.

๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’ซ so exciting! I'm loving the diversity on this Crew-12 mission ๐ŸŒŽ... got to be some amazing learning moments for all these astronauts from different countries ๐Ÿค... and 2,500 hours of flying experience? ๐Ÿš wow that's impressive ๐Ÿ’ฅ... can't wait to see what they achieve in space ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’ช!

๐Ÿค” omg so like what's up with these astronauts? I mean i know we need ppl who can go 2 space but like how do they even do it lol? ๐Ÿš€ is that like a really long flight or wut? And why are there so many different countries involved in this mission? Isnt it just gonna be NASA & SpaceX all day? ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿš€ I'm not sold on all the hype around this SpaceX Crew-12 mission. Don't get me wrong, it's cool that we've got a diverse crew and all, but is it really that revolutionary? I mean, we're still just launching people into space on a private rocket... ๐Ÿค” It feels like we're rehashing old ideas rather than pushing the boundaries of space travel. And what's with the whole "ambitious crew rotation" thing? Are they really going to break new ground or is it just another PR stunt? ๐Ÿ“ฐ

๐Ÿš€๐Ÿค” gotta ask, what's the real reason for these briefings? Is it just to give us a feel good story about astronauts or is there something more going on that NASA doesn't want to share with us yet? ๐Ÿค I mean, 2,500 hours of flying experience by Hathaway sounds like a lot but how does that translate to actual space travel? ๐Ÿ˜• also, what's up with the potential early launch date changes? Is it because SpaceX is having some issues with their spacecraft or is it just a PR move to get more buzz around the mission? ๐Ÿ“ฐ

๐Ÿš€ I'm super hyped for this upcoming SpaceX Crew-12 mission ๐Ÿคฉ! Four amazing astronauts from around the world are about to blast off together ๐ŸŒŸ! Jessica Meir is gonna be the commander and I'm loving that she's got so much experience under her belt ๐Ÿ‘. And can we talk about Jack Hathaway's flying skills ๐Ÿ˜ฎ? 2,500 hours of combat missions? That's insane ๐Ÿ’ฅ! I hope they make some groundbreaking discoveries on the space station ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’ซ! The fact that this mission is gonna be one of the most ambitious in history just makes me more excited to see what they accomplish ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ‘ฝ! Let's get ready for lift-off ๐Ÿ’ช!

OMG ๐Ÿš€ I'm literally SO stoked for Crew-12!!! They sound like an AMAZING team with so much experience between them! Can't wait to see what adventures await them up in space ๐Ÿ’ซ And to think, one of them is a Commander ๐Ÿ™Œ that's just INSPIRING! Jessica Meir, you're my hero right now! ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿš€ I'm so stoked for this crew! They're like, literally the ultimate team of astronauts ๐Ÿค. Meir's got the space cred with her 205 days in space and all those degrees from top schools ๐Ÿ“š. And Hathaway's got some serious flying experience under his belt - over 2,500 hours?! That's insane ๐Ÿ’ฅ! I love that Adenot's an engineering whiz too, bringing human factors expertise to the table ๐Ÿค–. And Fedyaev's a hero in Russia? No way, this crew is literally saving the world... or at least our space station ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿš€! Can't wait for launch day - gonna be EPIC ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’ฅ

OMG ๐Ÿš€, I'm so hyped for the Crew-12 mission! They're literally sending a team of astronauts with like, SO much experience ๐Ÿคฏ. Jessica Meir is leading the pack, which is totally cool since she's already spent 205 days in space ๐ŸŒ . And let's not forget about Jack Hathaway, who's got over 2,500 hours of flying under his belt ๐Ÿ’ช! I'm wondering if they're gonna make it to the ISS on time tho โฐ... they're aiming for Feb 15 but let's see how that goes ๐Ÿ’ฅ. Anyway, this mission is gonna be EPIC ๐ŸŽ‰!

I'm so hyped for this upcoming mission! I mean, can you imagine being part of a team that's literally breaking records? ๐Ÿš€ And it's not just about the tech and science behind it, but also the people involved - I love how diverse the crew is, from different countries to unique backgrounds. Jessica Meir, for example, has been on space before (whoa, 205 days in space?!), and now she's leading this mission? Goals! ๐Ÿ’ช Sophie Adenot and Andrey Fedyaev are also total rockstars in their own right - I mean, who wouldn't want to fly helicopters or navigate space at that level of expertise?

But what really gets me is how this crew is going to make history. Not just for themselves, but for humanity as a whole. It's these kinds of missions that remind us we're still pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and I'm here for it!

๐Ÿš€ I think it's amazing that NASA is giving us a glimpse into what's happening behind the scenes of this historic mission ๐Ÿคซ. The fact that we get to see four astronauts from different countries and backgrounds coming together to make this happen is just incredible ๐Ÿ’ช. I mean, can you imagine being part of a team that's literally changing the course of space exploration history? ๐ŸŒŸ It's not just about the tech and the science โ€“ it's about the people, too. And I'm sure we'll learn even more about them as they share their experiences with us on January 30 ๐Ÿ’ฌ.

The idea of humans venturing into the vast unknown, searching for answers beyond our terrestrial bounds ๐Ÿš€... it's humbling to think about the immense responsibility that comes with such a monumental task. Four individuals, each carrying their own unique experiences and backgrounds, are set to embark on this extraordinary journey together. It makes me wonder, what does it mean to be human in the face of the cosmos? Do we find our place among the stars, or do the stars remind us of just how small we are? ๐ŸŒ  The diverse team dynamic within Crew-12 is a testament to the power of collaboration and diversity. Perhaps this mission will inspire future generations to look beyond their own horizons, to explore the uncharted territories of human potential. The clock is ticking... January 30th is just around the corner ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

๐Ÿš€ I'm so hyped for this mission! It's amazing to see these four talented astronauts from around the world coming together to achieve something historic. I mean, 2,500 hours of flying experience by one astronaut? That's crazy! ๐Ÿคฏ And they're not just any ordinary flyers, they've also got science degrees and engineering backgrounds under their belts. I love how diverse this crew is - it's gonna be awesome to see them work together. Plus, Jessica Meir leading the mission? She's a total rockstar in my book! ๐Ÿ’ช
