Nicki Minaj Avoids Sale of $20 Million Mansion in Security Guard Assault Case: 'Eleventh Hour' Deal

Nicki Minaj has narrowly escaped having to sell off her $20 million Hidden Hills mansion after reaching a last-minute deal with the security guard who was assaulted by her husband, Kenneth Petty, at one of her concerts back in 2019.

The deal allows the rapper to avoid a court-ordered sale of her eight-bedroom home, which had been set to go up for auction and yield approximately $6 million if Minaj were to pay off her mortgage lien. In exchange for dropping her case against Petty, who faces charges of attempted rape in Brooklyn federal court, security guard Thomas Weidenmuller received the $500,000 default judgment he sought.

Minaj's eight-bedroom luxury home has a $13.258 million mortgage lien, with Weidenmuller claiming that Minaj was responsible for his medical bills, which amount to nearly $700,000, as well as other expenses related to the assault, including surgery and ongoing treatment.

In her statement on social media, Nicki Minaj recently drew attention by calling CNN anchor Don Lemon a homophobic slur over one of his reports on protests in Minneapolis, sparking widespread outrage from critics who called out the rapper for her divisive rhetoric.

Yaaas girl, I'm super proud of Nicki Minaj for fighting for what's hers! 😊 That security guard Thomas Weidenmuller was totally in the right, and it's awesome that she stood up to him (no pun intended 😉). I mean, who wouldn't want to take care of someone they felt was wronged? It's all about justice and taking responsibility. 💪 I'm also loving her fierce response on social media - even if some people got upset, it just shows she's not afraid to speak her mind! 🔥 Can we talk about how strong she is for standing up for herself too? 💁‍♀️

😒 Like how this is just another example of wealthy celebs dodging responsibility. The security guard gets to keep his $500k judgment and Nicki Minaj gets to hold onto her mansion... meanwhile Weidenmuller was left dealing with serious medical bills from the assault. 🤕 Not cool that she was able to work out a deal like this, it just feels like another way for powerful people to get away with stuff 💸

OMG, THIS IS SUCH A CRAZY TURN OF EVENTS!!! I MEAN, NICKI MINAJ'S HUSBAND GOT ASSAULTED BY THE SECURITY GUARD AND NOW SHE GETS TO KEEP HER MANSION???? IT JUST DON'T SEEM RIGHT, YOU KNOW? 🤔 BUT AT THE SAME TIME, I GUESS THINGS CAN WORK OUT IN WAYS WE NEVER EXPECT. BUT WHAT ABOUT THOMAS WEIDENMULLER'S MEDICAL BILLS??? $700K IS A LOT OF MONEY!!! AND NOW HE GOT A DEFAULT JUDGMENT FOR JUST $500K???? IT SEEMS LIKE NICKI MINAJ'S GETTING OFF SCOT-FREE, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THIS WHOLE THING? 🤷‍♀️

🤔 I'm not sure if we should be celebrating this outcome or not. On one hand, Nicki Minaj's mansion is off the market and she can keep it... but at what cost? It's like, Thomas Weidenmuller, the security guard who got assaulted by her husband, gets a pretty sweet deal for his troubles too 🤑. I mean, $500k is nothing to sneeze at, but considering the trauma he went through, you'd think there'd be more support or compensation offered. And what about Nicki's side of things? She's basically saying she can just pay off her mortgage lien and walk away from this whole ordeal without really confronting the harm she caused... 🤷‍♀️ it feels like a pretty watered-down justice system to me.

😂 I'm like 'what' with Nicki and that security guard? $500k to drop the case? That's like, crazy! But at the same time, I feel bad for Weidenmuller, he did get assaulted and all 😞. And omg what was she thinking calling Don Lemon a homophobic slur online 🤯? Like, come on Nicki, that was low. It kinda makes you wonder if she's worried about her brand or something? I mean, people love her music, but not everyone's gonna be cool with her drama 💁‍♀️. Can't say I blame the fans who were upset about it 🙅‍♂️.
