On Saturday, July 11th, over 100 paddlers will embark on a seven-mile journey from Walnut Street Dock to Fort Mifflin, one of the city's most historic sites. This historic fort, often referred to as "The Fort that Saved America," played a pivotal role during the Revolutionary War, and its significance will be front and center as kayakers make their way south.
Witnesses can expect an unforgettable spectacle as the flotilla glides by under the bridges and riverbanks. As part of the celebration, attendees will enjoy a boxed lunch at Schuylkill Banks, followed by kayaking from 1 pm to 4:30 pm.
