Mary Sheffield seems like a nice person though , she's got that whole "change for the better" vibe going on . But you know how it is, Detroit's been through so much over the years , it's gonna take some real effort to turn things around.

I'm thinking what really matters here is the impact she'll have on the city's development plans , and making sure those plans are actually executed . It's one thing to have a fancy ceremony at the opera house , but it's another thing entirely to put your money where your mouth is and start tackling those pesky issues like poverty and crime .

Still, I'm keeping an open mind here ... after all, someone's gotta shake things up in Detroit . Fingers crossed she's got the right stuff to make it happen!

IT'S ABOUT TIME WE HAD A FEMALE MAJOR LEADER IN OUR CITY, ESPECIALLY ONE WHO SEEMS SO PASSIONATE ABOUT MAKING THINGS BETTER FOR DETROIT RESIDENTS. I'M LOVING THE VIBES COMING FROM HER AND I'M HOPEFUL THAT SHE'LL BRING SOME MUCH-NEEDED CHANGES TO OUR CITY'S GOVERNANCE AND ECONOMY.
