Premier League news: Arteta welcomes throw-in coach, Moyes defends Barry

Arsenal look set to recruit a throw-in coach to help the team improve their attacking play from dead-ball situations. Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the club is making a move for Thomas Grønnemark, who spent five years at Liverpool under Jürgen Klopp and has also worked with Brentford.

The Dane's appointment comes as Arsenal have scored more goals from set-pieces than any other team in Europe's top-five leagues. However, Arteta revealed that Declan Rice is working on developing the skill of taking long throws, which is an area where the team could improve further.

"We try to improve every single area," said Arteta. "Every single margin that we possibly can to be a better team and anybody can help us."

Meanwhile, David Moyes has defended Everton's signing of Thierno Barry, who has struggled to make an impact since joining the club last summer. Moyes believes that the 23-year-old French striker has the potential to come good for the Toffees, but admits that he is "taking a bit of a gamble" on some transfers due to financial constraints.

Everton are looking to sign a new striker and have inquired about a loan deal for Fenerbahce's Youssef En-Nesyri. Moyes believes that Barry has the physicality, running ability and aerial threat required to succeed in the Premier League.

Leeds manager Marco Silva is wary of Fulham's Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has been enjoying an impressive campaign with eight goals in his last nine appearances. The West Ham manager knows what a tough task it will be for his team to beat Leeds at Elland Road.

West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo needs to address the team's leaky defence if he is to keep them out of relegation trouble. Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola has admitted that the Cherries' away form is a concern, having conceded 29 goals in 10 matches on their travels this season.

The Premier League transfer window is getting more congested by the day, and several teams are looking to strengthen their squads further.

throwin' money at coaches like they're goin' outta style 🤑 don't solve nothin'. arsenal's got skillz, just need 2 fine tune it 💡 grønnemark's the real deal 👍 but what about developin' those long throws? declan rice needs 2 step up his game ⏱️ moyes is tryin', but that thierno barry signing had fans cryin' themselves to sleep 😩 youssef en-nesyri's a gamble, but who ain't 😜

i'm not buying into this whole throw-in coach thing 🤔... like what's next? hiring a specialist for crossing the ball too? it seems to me that mikel arteta just wants someone to blame when arsenal concede goals from set-pieces 😏... declan rice working on long throws is cool, but how many times has he thrown it 50 yards in his career? 🤣

I think its crazy how much teams are struggling with dead-ball situations 🤯, like you can't win a game just because one team scores from a corner or throw-in. Arsenal's improvement in this area would definitely be a big plus for them 💪. But at the same time, I'm not surprised they're looking to recruit someone specialized - it's clear that Declan Rice still has some work to do 🤔. And can't say I blame Moyes for taking risks with transfers when you've got financial constraints to deal with 🤑. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how these signings pan out 💥!

I'm not sure what's wrong with some of these strikers, you know? Thierno Barry from Everton has been struggling since joining last summer, but I think Moyes knows what he's doing 🤔. And I've got a mate who's got a cousin who works at Fenerbahce, so maybe that loan deal for Youssef En-Nesyri is gonna be the one to make all the difference 💡.

And can you believe Arsenal are getting in someone just to work on their throw-ins? Like, isn't that what Declan Rice is already doing? 🤷‍♂️ But hey, if it means they score more goals from set-pieces, I'm all for it! They're already doing better than most teams in the top-five leagues.

It's just so frustrating when you watch a player like Dominic Calvert-Lewin and think, 'man, this guy is on fire!' 🔥 But then you know that Leeds are gonna be tough to beat at Elland Road. And West Ham's got some big problems with their defence... 😬 it's gonna be an interesting season!

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s weird that Arsenal is trying to recruit a throw-in coach 🤔... like what's next? A kicking coach? Or a goalkeeper who can just hold onto the ball forever 😂. But seriously, it seems like they're getting all these specialists to help them improve their set-piece game. Meanwhile, other teams are struggling with their own problems, like West Ham’s leaky defence 🚨.

I think it’s cool that Everton is taking a chance on Thierno Barry though 💪... he might just surprise us all. And can we talk about how long it takes for strikers to adapt to the Premier League? Like, David Moyes knows his stuff but it still feels like a gamble every time 🤷‍♂️.

And omg have you seen Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s form lately?! 😲 Leeds is in trouble if they can’t figure out how to stop him. And Iraola from Bournemouth better get their defence sorted ASAP ⚽️, 29 goals on the road? No thanks 🙅‍♂️!

I'm loving this new development at Arsenal! Getting a throw-in coach is a genius move, especially since they're already killing it from set-pieces 🤯🏆. Thomas Grønnemark's expertise would be a huge boost to their attacking play. I mean, who doesn't love watching a perfectly placed long throw sail over the wall and into the back of the net? 😂 It's like a beautiful symphony of footballing magic!

But seriously, it's all about improving those margins, right? 📊 Every percentage point counts when you're competing at this level. And hey, Declan Rice is working on his long throws - that's some top-notch dedication from the young Gunner! 💪

On a more skeptical note, David Moyes seems to be taking a bit of a gamble with Thierno Barry's transfer... fingers crossed it pays off for Everton 🤞. And West Ham, I feel you - a solid defence is key to avoiding relegation trouble 😬. Bring on the summer transfer window, let's see what all the teams have in store! 🔁

🤔 Arsenal needs to work on that long throw skill from Declan Rice, lol I mean, who hasn't seen a defender get smashed by a well-placed throw in? 🏉 Anyway, Thomas Grønnemark sounds like the real deal, been around the block with Jürgen Klopp and Brentford. Hopefully he can bring some magic to the Emirates 💫 David Moyes is being his usual cautious self, I get it, but come on Thierno Barry's got potential! 🤞

🙄 You know what's got me thinking? Like, teams need to work on those set pieces for real! 🤦‍♂️ Arsenal's already scoring more goals from dead-ball situations than anyone else in the top 5 leagues, but Arteta's all about improving every single area. Even Declan Rice is working on taking long throws - that's dedication, fam! 💪 As for Everton signing Thierno Barry, I mean, Moyes thinks he has potential, but it's a bit of a risk, right? 🤔 And those Premier League teams are just gonna keep strengthening their squads... like, when will the window close?! 😩

omg i dont get why ppl r saying moyes is taking a gamble on barry lol like u think he's gonna be a game changer with the physicality & running ability? but seriously tho, arsenal's move for grønnemark makes sense they've been crushing it from set-pieces this season 🤯 i mean its not rocket science but still, having someone who knows how to make them count from dead-ball situations is priceless. and idk about west ham, stanto fix that defense or u might end up getting sacked 💔

omg i think arsenal need this coach ASAP! 🤩 they've been killing it from set pieces but still can improve on that long throw skill with declan rice tho 💪 maybe grønnemark can help them out 😊 meanwhile david moyes is right to say he's taking a risk on barry but at least he's trying eh? 🤝 and i'm lowkey curious about youssef en-nesyri coming in for west ham lol would love to see him make an impact 💥

I think it's wild that Arsenal is trying to hire a throw-in coach 🤯🏀. Like, I get it, they're doing okay, but do they really need someone to specialize in dead-ball situations? And what's up with Declan Rice working on taking long throws? That's just not how you score goals, fam 😂.

I'm also intrigued by the transfer window chaos 🚨👀. Everyone's trying to strengthen their squads, but it's getting harder and harder to find good talent. I mean, David Moyes is taking a bit of a risk on Thierno Barry, but hey, desperate times call for desperate measures ⛈️.

But seriously, it's gonna be an interesting second half of the season 📺🏟️. Who's gonna come out on top? Will Arsenal finally crack that throw-in code 💡? Only time will tell 🔮.

I'm so done with the way teams are presenting player updates 🙄... like, can't they just use a consistent layout? I mean, I love seeing stats about goal-scoring from set pieces, but why do we need to see them in little blocks all over the place? Can't we just have one nice big table or something?

And UGH, Everton's signing of Thierno Barry is already getting mixed reviews 🤦‍♂️... can we please just get some consistent formatting on transfer news articles?! And why do teams keep using "potential to come good" as a phrase? Can't they just say what the player actually does well or bad?

I swear, the more I read about the Premier League, the more I want to design my own football website from scratch 📊... with a clean and simple layout, of course. Something like a plain white background, easy-to-read fonts, and some decent spacing between sections. That's all I'm asking for! 😅

I'm not sure if Arsenal really need a throw-in coach lol 😂. I mean, it's not like they're doing that bad from set-pieces... but at the same time, can't hurt to have someone with Grønnemark's experience on board, right? 🤔 Still think they should focus on getting some of their key players back from injuries first before worrying about other areas of the team. And Moyes is just being realistic about taking risks with transfers - it's not like Everton's gonna win the league this season 😂. On a more serious note, Leeds are in for a tough game against Fulham and West Ham's defence is a mess... hope they can sort out their backline soon 🙏. The transfer window just keeps getting crazier, though...

omg i'm so down for arsenal to get that throw-in coach 🤩! i mean, its crazy they're already scoring more goals from set pieces than anyone else in europe's top 5 leagues! 🤯 its about time we see some improvement on our dead-ball situations tho. declan rice is doing his part by working on those long throws but i think a new coach would be super helpful. lets hope mikel arteta makes it happen soon! 💪

I'm loving the direction Arsenal is taking with their set-piece play. Hiring a specialist like Thomas Grønnemark could be just what they need to unlock those extra goals from throws. It's no surprise they're scoring more than anyone else in Europe's top-five leagues - Arteta's team has been putting in the work! 💡

Meanwhile, I'm intrigued by Everton's gamble on Thierno Barry. If he can finally click with Moyes' tactics, I think he could make a real impact for the Toffees. It's not just about physicality, though - Calvert-Lewin at Fulham is having a season of his life and Leeds will be in for a tough test if they want to take points from them.

Defensively, West Ham are really struggling to find consistency. If Nuno Espírito Santo can shore up that backline, I think they've got a good shot at avoiding relegation - but it's a tough ask given their away form is laughable right now 😳.

omg i feel like arsenal really need to improve their set pieces 🤯 they're already doing so well but a throw-in coach could make all the difference 🙌 mikel arteta sounds so chill about it too tho, always trying to find ways to improve the team 💡 meanwhile david moyes is kinda being fair with thierno barry though, we should give him more time ⏰ and i'm low-key rooting for everton to sign youssef en-nesyri 🤞 what do u think about calvert-lewin tho? 😍

OMG 🤩 I'm so hyped about Arsenal's new move! Getting a throw-in coach is like, totally genius 🤓. They've already been killing it from set-pieces, and this could take their game to the next level 💥. And I love how Mikel Arteta is all about finding ways to improve every single area of the team 🌈. It's all about that extra little margin, you know? 😊 Plus, Declan Rice working on his long throws is a great sign - he's got this! 💪

And omg, Everton signing Thierno Barry was like a Hail Mary, but I think it could work out in the end 🤞. And Youssef En-Nesyri would be a sick addition to West Ham too... Nuno needs to sort out that defense ASAP ⚠️. But overall, the transfer window is getting more interesting by the day! 💥👀
