but $8 million in 2026 is kinda low considering how good he is... I think the Red Sox should just go all out and offer him a big deal if they wanna be serious about making a push for the playoffs

the red sox need a solid starter to balance out their rotation and freddy peralta seems like an amazing fit 
he's had an insane 2025 season and would totally give them that one-two punch they've been missing. can you imagine garrett crochet and peralta going head to head with some of the other al teams? 
think it's crazy how one guy can make such a big difference for a team. Freddy Peralta's numbers are insane, 204 strikeouts in 33 starts? that's like, wow! 
and at $8 million he's an absolute steal. but i get why the Red Sox want him, having two great starting pitchers would be huge for them. it'd also push some of their other pitchers to step up, maybe give them a chance to prove themselves. 
but yeah, they'll need to make some moves on offense too, can't have one side of the ball carrying everything
