this is just soooo weird... guy robs gas station, but instead of making off with cash, he's all about threatening the clerk and trying to breach the cash drawer... what's up with that? I mean, i get it, crime is bad, but does he have to be so reckless?
and the tech they used to catch him is crazy! automated license plate readers are like something out of a spy movie. i guess you can't just rely on good old fashioned detective work anymore... gotta have that fancy tech to keep up with modern thieves.
this is crazy i mean, i get it, people need money, but robbing a gas station is just so... unnecessary. like, what's gonna happen if he gets caught? he'll do some time, lose his freedom and maybe even his family will have to suffer because of his actions. and then there are the innocent people who got scared that day at the Chevron - can't imagine how traumatizing that must've been for them
i do think its good that the cops were able to catch this guy with help from an automated license plate reader though - it's like, technology is a powerful tool when used responsibly . and i guess the fact that they were able to crack the case so quickly shows how important collaboration between different law enforcement agencies can be
