San Mateo County road safety under renewed criticism following death of 4-year-old

the thing is 🤔 san mateo county should be super proud of itself for getting its first protected bike lane, but then again it only covers one block... like what a start? we need more than just a tiny little strip of asphalt to make our roads safe 🚴‍♀️👨. and have you seen the way people drive around here? 😱 they're always speeding, cutting off pedestrians and cyclists left and right... it's crazy! 🙄 we need better infrastructure, not just more empty promises from councilmembers who don't really know what they're talking about 💬. but at the same time, i get where ayden's family is coming from - the loss of that little kid is devastating 😔. maybe san mateo county should take a hard look at itself and figure out how to make our roads truly safe for everyone 🤝.

Ugh, this is heartbreaking 🤕 - 4-year-old Ayden Fang's tragic loss should be a wake-up call for San Mateo County to revamp its road safety! I mean, who needs more protected bike lanes and pedestrian infrastructure? Cities on the Peninsula are so caught up in prioritizing driver convenience that they're basically neglecting people like us 🚴‍♀️. It's not just about being courteous; it's about redesigning roads to make them safe for everyone - kids, cyclists, pedestrians... we need to step up our game! 😬
