'Shark Tank' to hold auditions in Philly again after 'record turnout' last year

"Shark Tank" Returns to Philadelphia for Another Record-Breaking Audition

The popular ABC series is once again casting its eyes on the City of Brotherly Love, with auditions scheduled to take place in Philadelphia on March 18. The move comes after last year's event drew a staggering "record turnout," with over 900 entrepreneurs and inventors vying for a chance to pitch their ideas to the show's investors.

Aspiring contestants must submit an application beforehand and claim wristbands, which will be distributed at the casting call, where they'll have just one minute to wow the producers with their pitches. The venue for this year's event is the same as last year's: the Rivers Casino event center in Fishtown.

According to Mindy Zemrak, supervising casting producer for "Shark Tank," the show was inspired to return to Philadelphia after last year's impressive turnout and the quality of the entrepreneurs who attended. "We were blown away by last year's turnout and the quality of the entrepreneurs that presented to us," she said in a statement.

Philadelphia is the only East Coast stop on the series' casting tour, and those who attend will be competing against others from California, among other places. Last season, a local resident named Maya Nazareth secured a $300,000 investment for her women's activewear brand Alchemize Fightwear, cementing the show's reputation as a platform for innovative entrepreneurs.

The "Shark Tank" investors, comprising Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner, Kevin O'Leary, Barbara Corcoran, Daniel Lubetzky, and Daymond John, will be on hand to listen to pitches from would-be contestants. Those who attend the casting call can expect a fast-paced and intense experience, with just one minute to make their mark.

For those interested in attending, the event starts at 8 a.m. outside the Rivers Casino event center, where wristbands will be distributed for attendees who have completed an application beforehand. The casting call is expected to draw even more entrepreneurs than last year, so it's essential to get there early and be prepared to make your pitch.

The stakes are high, but with a record-breaking turnout last time around, the opportunity to join "Shark Tank" is undoubtedly worth taking. Will this year's contestants be able to replicate the success of last season? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: only the most innovative and compelling ideas will make it to the investors' table.

Philly is killin' it with all the cool events 🀩! I'm so stoked that "Shark Tank" is comin' back for another record-breakin' audition. It's awesome that they're gonna have a bunch of entrepreneurs from Philly and other places fightin' for a shot at gettin' investment for their ideas πŸ’Έ. Last year was insane, with over 900 people showin' up! I'm just hopin' this year's contestants can live up to last season's success 🀞. Alchemize Fightwear, btw, got a major boost from the show - that's some crazy cool stuff right there πŸ‘•. The investors are gonna be there, so it's def worth gettin' out early and makin' your pitch πŸ˜„. Can't wait to see what this year brings! πŸŽ‰

omg I'm so stoked they're bringing "Shark Tank" back to Philly! 🀩 last year's record turnout was insane and I know this year's gonna be even crazier! πŸ’₯ I've got a buddy who's thinking of applying with their new sustainable food truck idea, can't wait to see them pitch it on TV! πŸ΄πŸ‘€ anyway, gotta prep those 60-second pitches early, don't wanna get left behind 😬πŸ’ͺ

πŸ€” So you know how some people think that just because something was successful before, it'll automatically happen again? Like, if last year's Philly audition drew 900 people, why wouldn't this year be just as crazy? 🀯 Well, here's the thing: life doesn't work like that. Every moment is different, and we can't control what happens next. What we can control is how prepared we are to take advantage of those opportunities when they come along. So, if you wanna get a spot on Shark Tank this year, make sure you're ready to put in the work! πŸ’ͺ And don't just assume that success will magically follow – actually plan for it and be willing to adapt when things don't go as expected. That's where the real growth happens 🌱

OMG u guys!! 🀯 I'm so hyped that Philly is getting another chance to shine on Shark Tank! Last year was insane with 900+ people vying for a spot, and now they're bringing it back? That's just crazy! πŸ’₯ The fact that local girl Maya got her business funded last season is like, super inspiring. I know the competition is gonna be tough this time around, but if u think ur idea is fire, don't hesitate to apply πŸ“πŸ”₯

just had an idea πŸ€”... the key to a record-breaking turnout at these "Shark Tank" auditions must be that they're offering up that sweet $300k investment πŸ’Έ! i mean, who wouldn't want to pitch their business and potentially get backed by some of the sharks themselves? plus, it's not just about the money - it's about getting exposure for your brand and having a chance to connect with potential investors. last year's winner Maya Nazareth got more than that - she got her business validated on a national stage πŸ“Ί... can't wait to see what this year's contestants come up with!

It's crazy how this "record-breaking turnout" thing is being hyped like a presidential campaign 🀯. I mean, over 900 people trying out for a TV show? That's some serious competition. It makes you wonder, what's driving all these entrepreneurs to flock to Philly for the auditions? Is it just the promise of a potential cash injection, or are they genuinely looking for a platform to showcase their innovative ideas? πŸ€‘

And let's be real, this is just another example of how cities like Philadelphia can become hubs for innovation and entrepreneurship. But what about the rest of the country? Are these kinds of opportunities being held in other regions? It seems like Philly gets all the love when it comes to "Shark Tank" auditions πŸ€”.

I guess what I'm saying is, while it's great that Philly is getting some attention for its entrepreneurial spirit, we need to make sure that opportunities like this are accessible to people across the country. We can't just rely on one city to be the hub of innovation 🌐.

I'm gonna be there πŸ€‘πŸ“¦! Philly's got some of the most talented folks around, and I'm not surprised they're bringing the whole crew back for another round. Last year was wild with 900+ people vying for that spot... can you imagine? It's gonna be chaos but in a good way πŸ˜‚. Maya Nazareth's story last season is inspiring, and I'd love to see what new talent comes out of this city. I'm sure the Sharks are gonna be on their toes πŸ€‘πŸ‘Š. Got my application in already, fingers crossed 🀞

omg i'm so down for this 🀩! philly is gonna host shaker tank again and im hyped for the event πŸ’₯ 900+ people vying for a spot? that's insane!!! 🀯 who's gonna get that $300k investment next? πŸ’Έ gotta get those wristbands ASAP, don't wanna miss out on this πŸ”“

Wow 🀯 Shark Tank is back in Philly and I'm hyped! They had a record turnout last year so fingers crossed this year's contestants bring even more fire πŸ”₯ for their pitches. Alchemize Fightwear killing it with that $300k investment πŸ’Έ, can't wait to see what else they're cooking up. gotta be ready to make your mark in just one minute tho πŸ•’οΈ

I was just thinking about what I'm gonna get for my birthday next month 🎁... maybe something from that new outdoor gear store that just opened up in Philly? You know, they have some sweet camping gear πŸ•οΈ. Speaking of which, has anyone tried those new eco-friendly camping stoves? I heard they're super efficient and don't produce any harsh chemicals πŸ”₯. Anyway, back to "Shark Tank"... it's always exciting to see people come up with such innovative ideas πŸ’‘. Maybe this year's winner will be a fellow Philadelphian 🀞.

OMG u guys! 🀯 I'm so stoked they're bringing Shark Tank back 2 Philly! πŸŽ‰ Last year's turnout was insane and I'm sure this year's gonna be even crazier!!! πŸ’₯ The Rivers Casino event center is such a cool venue btw. I wonder if they'll have any new investors joining the show this season? Maybe someone from the Valley will come in and shake things up?! 😜 Anyways, gotta get those wristbands ASAP!! Who else is hoping to make it on the show? πŸ€”

OMG, I'm so hyped for this casting call 🀩! 900 entrepreneurs vying for a spot on Shark Tank? That's like, totally insane! πŸ’₯ I've heard so many amazing stories from people who got featured on the show last season, it's clear that it's not just about throwing some money at an idea, but actually making a real difference. Maya Nazareth's story is literally inspiring 😍, I would totes be in line for this event! πŸš—πŸ•°οΈ gotta get there early and have my pitch ready, can't let anyone steal the spotlight! πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

Ugh, another bunch of wannabe entrepreneurs flocking to Philly for their 15 minutes of fame πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ. I mean, what are the chances they'll actually get funded? The competition is gonna be cutthroat, and those Shark Tank investors are always on the lookout for someone who's just gonna scam them out of their cash πŸ’Έ. And good luck getting a minute to pitch in that chaotic environment - I bet most people will just stand there stuttering 🀣. Still, I guess it'll be fun to watch from the sidelines and see if anyone actually manages to wow 'em πŸ˜‚.

😊 I'm so hyped for another round of "Shark Tank" in Philly! πŸŽ‰ Last year's event was insane with over 900 entrepreneurs pitching their ideas... it's gonna be tough to top that! πŸ’₯ The city is always a great spot for innovation and entrepreneurship, and I love how the show is bringing together people from all over the country. Alchemize Fightwear's Maya Nazareth got her big break last season, so fingers crossed for this year's contestants 🀞. It's gonna be interesting to see what kind of ideas come out of that one-minute pitch... gotta be quick and clever! πŸ’‘ The investors are always looking for something new and exciting, so it'll be fun to watch the dynamics between them. Can't wait to see who makes the cut! πŸ˜ƒ

Ugh, great, just what we need more fake entrepreneurs trying to scam their way into getting a bunch of money from those Shark guys 🀣. I mean, 900 people? That's already a red flag right there. And good luck to whoever has to deal with the traffic and crowds at the Rivers Casino event center on March 18... it's gonna be a real fun morning 😴. And let's not forget, they're only selecting from Philly this time around, so all those people who weren't chosen will just have to wait another year to get their shot πŸ™„.

omg 🀯 so like what's up with ppl wanting to be on shark tank tho? they gotta be so brave to put themselves out there like that πŸ™Œ & what's with philly being the only east coast stop? can't they just come to nyc or somethin? πŸ€” & i feel like those investors are all so rich & successful already, how do they even relate to these entrepreneurs? πŸ’Έ did they actually get some good ideas out of last season tho? πŸ’‘

πŸ€” I'm kinda surprised they're coming back to Philly for another audition...I mean, I know we love our city, but 900+ entrepreneurs vying for a spot on the show? That's crazy! πŸš€ Did last year's winners really get that much attention tho? Maya Nazareth got like $300k or something, but was it all from Shark Tank? Maybe they're looking for more diverse pitches this time around...who knows? πŸ’‘

Ugh, another record-breaking turnout just means more chaos at the casting call 🀯! Can't they come up with a better system for managing all those people? And what's with the 1-minute pitch limit? How are we supposed to do justice to our ideas in that short amount of time? πŸ•’οΈ I swear, it's like they're trying to make it as hard as possible for us entrepreneurs to get on the show... 😩
