Social media's beauty filters may look harmless – but they're quietly affecting Black youths' mental health

I'm really concerned about this study, it shows just how much our platforms are affecting our kids mental health 🤕. Can you imagine having like 6 racist experiences a day? It's not even a week before feeling anxious & depressed 😔. And algorithmic bias is basically just making things worse 🤖. The fact that there's only positive online experiences around race every few weeks is wild, doesn't anyone want to see change? 🙄 Companies and governments need to take responsibility for their platforms and regulate them so this stuff can stop happening 💻. We can't keep ignoring the impact of our actions on these young people's lives 👧

🤕 it's just crazy how much stress online racism can put on our young minds 🌎. I mean, 6 online racism experiences a day is just too much 📊. It's like, we gotta take responsibility for creating spaces where kids feel safe online 🚫. And yeah, algorithmic bias is real 🤖. Companies need to step up and make changes to prevent these issues from spreading 🔄. Virtual reality therapy sounds like a game-changer 🎮. We need to invest in programs that help youth develop digital literacy and coping skills 💻🌈. Can't let online racism be the norm for our kids 😔.

I don’t usually comment but I was really saddened by this study 🤕. Can you imagine being a teenager, just trying to navigate high school, and then having to deal with online racism all day, every day? It's like they're stuck in some kind of never-ending nightmare 😩. And it gets even worse when algorithmic bias kicks in - it's like the system is stacked against them 🤖. I don’t think it's a coincidence that mental health symptoms skyrocket with online racism... it's time for companies and governments to step up and create real change 💪. We need to make sure our tech platforms are safe for everyone, not just some privileged few 🌐.
