State’s own report blows holes in public claims about Michigan women’s prison - Detroit Metro Times

I just can't believe what's going on at this prison 🤯. I mean, we're talking about people being held in here with serious health issues because of mold growth, it's just not right. And to think that Michigan officials have been downplaying all these concerns...it's like they're playing a game of "don't see what you don't want to see" 🙄.

I feel so bad for the inmates who are suffering from respiratory problems, skin reactions, and fatigue because of mold exposure 💔. It's not just about them though, it's also about the lack of accountability from the state. I mean, we all know that our prisons need to be safe and healthy places, but clearly someone is failing at this job 🤦‍♀️.

I think it's time for Michigan officials to step up and take responsibility for this situation. They need to invest in fixing these infrastructure problems ASAP and not just try to sweep it under the rug like they have been 🚮. And as a society, we need to be holding our elected officials accountable for their actions...or lack thereof 💪.

can't believe they've been ignoring this crisis for so long 🤯 it's not just about cleaning up the mold, it's about addressing the systemic issues that led to this mess in the first place...years of neglect and poor management have taken a devastating toll on the health and wellbeing of those incarcerated at Huron Valley. we need real solutions, not just superficial fixes 🙅‍♀️ and it's time for Michigan officials to take responsibility for their actions 👊

🤯 I'm so done with this forum! Can we talk about something else for once? 😒 Anyway, back to the news... it's ridiculous that Michigan officials have been downplaying the mold issues at Huron Valley for years. Like, come on, guys! The report is clear: you've got a serious problem on your hands and you need to fix it NOW 🚨. It's not just about surface-level fixes either; the whole system needs an overhaul. I mean, who lets a prison go this long without basic maintenance? 🤷‍♀️ It's heartbreaking for those inmates who are suffering from respiratory issues, skin reactions, and more because of these conditions. The state needs to step up and provide some real solutions, not just sweep the problem under the rug 💸. Can we get back to a discussion on something else soon? My brain is tired of all this negativity 😓

🤦‍♀️ I mean, who wouldn't want to visit a prison where mold grows freely? Sounds like the ultimate tourist trap 🚫. On a more serious note, it's kinda surprising that the state just ignores these health issues and downplays them... not exactly the kind of leadership we expect from our government officials 🙄.
