'That make-or-break feeling? I love it': can André de Ridder put ENO back on its feet?

🤩 just saw this news about André de Ridder taking over as music director of English National Opera 🎵 my mind is blown thinking about how he wants to bring back the magic and make it fresh again 🔄 he's got the right vibe, I love that he's all about pushing boundaries and bringing in new ideas 🌈 can't wait to see what he does with Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, that one sounds 🔥 has anyone else heard of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill? 👀

🎵 I'm low-key hoping André de Ridder brings some serious FOMO vibes to ENO 🤫. The fact that he's willing to take on this gig when it's not at its best is huge. I mean, who else would put their neck on the line for an opera company that's struggling? 🙅‍♂️ Plus, Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny sounds like a total game-changer 🎶. The way de Ridder sees parallels between Weill's work and contemporary music is genius. I'm all about innovative productions that push the boundaries of opera! 💥 Bring it on, ENO!

I'm like totally stoked about André de Ridder taking over as music director of English National Opera 🤩. I mean, the guy is super passionate and energetic, which is awesome, but at the same time, can he really handle the pressure? I don't know if it's a good idea for him to leave his comfy job in Germany, maybe he should've just stayed there... wait, nope, now that he's making those plans, maybe this is exactly what ENO needs! 🤔. It's gonna be interesting to see how he balances innovative productions with the orchestra and chorus being on reduced funding... but if anyone can do it, I guess it's him! 💪

I don't know if I'm sold on this new music director thing... sounds like he's just throwing more money and resources at a sinking ship 🤑. All this talk about "immersive experiences" and "pushing boundaries" just feels like marketing speak to me 😒. And what's with the jazz, tango, and blues influences? Can't they just stick to traditional opera for once? I mean, I've seen some weird stuff at concerts before, but I don't think my grandma would appreciate Mahagonny 🤪. Let's see if de Ridder can really turn ENO around without losing sight of what makes opera special in the first place... 🎵

I'm low-key excited about André de Ridder taking over as music director of English National Opera 🤩! He seems like a total breath of fresh air, all about spreading positivity and excitement around his new role 🌟. I love that he's thinking outside the box and wanting to bring in some new energy to the company - it's been a while since ENO needed a shake-up 🔄. De Ridder's enthusiasm is totally infectious and I'm sure he'll do an amazing job of bringing opera back to life for a whole new audience 🎶!

De Ridder's got some crazy plans for ENO lol! I mean who needs comfort when you can rock a precarious situation like this? Sounds like he's gonna bring some serious jazz hands to those productions, Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny is gonna be lit! But seriously though, I love that he's not afraid to take on challenges and push boundaries. And let's be real, who wouldn't want to work with a conductor who's got a passion project like this? It's all about creating something special, and if he can do it, ENO's gonna thrive 🎵💥
