The 100 best male footballers in the world 2025

This is a complex HTML/CSS code for a web page, specifically designed to display a list of football players in grid or list view. Here's a brief overview of the different parts of the code:

**HTML Structure**

The code consists of several sections:

1. `<div class="interactive-wrapper">`: This is the outermost container element that wraps all the other elements.
2. `<div class="gv-wrapper">`: This element contains the main content of the page, including the header, list/grid view, and footer.
3. `<div id="gv-header-background">`: This element defines the background image for the header section.
4. `<div id="gv-header">`: This is the header section itself, which includes a strap line, title, standfirst, and byline.
5. `<div id="gv-wrap-all">`: This element wraps all the other elements, including the list/grid view and footer.
6. `<div class="gv-views-wrapper">`: This element contains the list/grid view sections.
7. `<div id="gv-list-view">`: This is the list view section, which includes a list of players with various details.
8. `<div id="gv-grid-view">`: This is the grid view section, which displays the same data in a grid format.
9. `<div class="gv-filter-block">`: This element contains a filter button that allows users to switch between list and grid views.
10. `<div class="gv-footer">`: This element defines the footer section of the page.

**CSS Styles**

The code includes several CSS styles, including:

* `.gv-header-background { ... }`: Defines the background image for the header section.
* `.gv-header { ... }`: Defines the styling for the header section, including font sizes, colors, and layout.
* `.gv-strap { ... }`: Defines the styling for the strap line in the header section.
* `.interactive-share { ... }`: Defines the styling for social media share buttons.
* `.gv-footer-photo-credit { ... }`: Defines the styling for the footer credit section.

**JavaScript**

The code does not include any JavaScript files, but there are several inline scripts that define behaviors such as:

* Toggle view between list and grid views
* Filter data based on user input
* Display loading animations

Overall, this code is designed to provide a dynamic and interactive experience for users who want to view information about football players in different formats.

I don't get why we need all these new features just because they're fancy. I mean, how often do you really use that grid view thingy? It's just another way to clutter up the screen with too much info. And don't even get me started on those loading animations 🙄. Can't it just load normally like a normal website? It feels like tech companies are more interested in making their sites look pretty than actually making them useful for us.

I'm down with the idea of using a grid view over a list view when browsing through that massive roster of football players. I mean, think about it... have you ever scrolled through a huge list of people's names and stats just to get to the one you're looking for? It's a pain in the neck. A grid view lets you scan and pick out specific players faster.

And let's not forget about accessibility - some people with visual impairments might struggle with navigating a dense list, but a well-designed grid can help them find what they need more easily. Plus, it makes the page look cleaner and more modern.

🤔 I mean, can you believe how simple websites used to be back in the day? Remember when we just had Myspace or LiveJournal and we were so stoked to have more than 10 friends online lol. Now we're over here with these crazy complex sites that are like, what even is this? 😂

Anywayz, I'm tryna understand this football player website thingy... 🏀 it's got all these different views: grid and list, and you can filter by some stuff. But honestly, I just wanna see a simple table with the names and stats, you know? No need for all that extra fuss 💁‍♀️

And don't even get me started on these social media buttons 📱... back in my day, we just used AOL Instant Messenger to chat with our friends, no need for all those fancy share buttons 😂.

I'm just glad I can still use a browser and view some sweet content without it crashing or taking an eternity to load ⏱️. These new web sites are like trying to solve a puzzle blindfolded 🤯... give me the old days any day! 🙃

idk why they need so many divs... 🤔 like 10+ just to show some player list. can't they just use one html element and style it? also, what's up with all these inline scripts? can't we use js libraries or frameworks instead? and btw, the filter block is kinda unnecessary... if i want to see only top players or something, can't i just use url parameters? 🤷‍♂️

I'm totally stoked that they're bringing back the old grid view on this website 🤩. I mean, I love the list view too, but there's something about seeing all those player stats lined up in a grid that just makes it easier to scan and compare. Plus, I think it's gonna be way faster for people who want to check out multiple players at once. And can we talk about how cool the new filter options are? 😎 It's like they really listened to what people wanted (and asked us nicely 🤗). Now I'm wondering if they're gonna add some sort of 'sort by' feature... fingers crossed! 👍

im late again 🤦‍♂️ but i saw this thread and thought it was kinda cool how much effort went into making that website. the design looks really sleek and modern, especially with that background image on the header 😎. and wow, 9 sections of html and css? that's like a mini web dev project right there 🤯. i'm not sure if i'd use this code myself since i'm more of a 'just make it work' kind of guy, but hey, kudos to whoever made this happen 👏.

ugh why do we need so many complicated website codes anymore 🤯 can't we just have something simple like instagram where all i wanna do is scroll through and see pretty pics of my kids without having to worry about all the extra stuff 😩 and what's with all these filter options anyway?! 🙄 can't we just stick with one or two so i don't have to think too hard about it 💁‍♀️
