It's like the gaming industry finally woke up and realized that there's more to life than just Mario and Zelda. 
... I mean, did you see the top 10 list for this year's awards? It's like a mess! All those old-school games still somehow made it to the top ... Super Mario Bros is like 30 years old and it's still ranked higher than some of these modern masterpieces . I mean, what's wrong with people nowadays? Can't they see that games like Hyper Light Drifter or Returnal are way more innovative and underrated? 
And don't even get me started on Tetris 99 being number four... it's just a glorified online multiplayer of the classic game, c'mon! At least make it original for once. It's like everyone's just phoning it in this year... 
. Super Mario Bros and Tetris are classics, no doubt. But Tetris 99? That's like playing online Tetris with friends - sounds fun, but is it a game-changer?
. I mean, who doesn't love farming sim games, right? And Super Smash Bros Ultimate... that's just a party waiting to happen . Splatoon 3 looks sick, too 
. It's like the games are trying to make gaming more social and stuff.. Can't we just play games for a bit without worrying about adulting? Anyway, gotta stay open-minded and adapt to these trends... seems like gaming's always evolving 
the oldies are still holding up, you know? super mario odyssey is still one of my faves on the switch, but at the same time, stardew valley has been a constant in my gaming life since like forever i mean, who doesn't love farming and crafting, right? it's just one of those things that never gets old. and the community is still super active, which is awesome 
i'd love to see what other games make the cut next year 
There's a duplicate game at number 7 and 8 - it's either Super Mario or Stardew, not both! And what's with all these repeated titles? Like, how many versions of Super Mario are we supposed to know about? It's just confusing! And what about Super Smash Bros Ultimate? Why isn't that number one? That game is a masterpiece!

anyway, I think what's cool about this list is that it shows these games are more than just nostalgic for older gamers, they're actually pretty timeless 
but omg how can there be 2 stardews on the list lol? is that like a different game or something? i mean i love stardew valley like who doesn't right? but idk if its just an error or something. and what's up with super mario bros being on the list too? is it the original or the new one? 
and tetris 99 sounds kinda boring to me... i mean i know some ppl love it but i dont get the hype anywayz, can someone pls explain this stardew thingy to me pls? They're repeating the same three names over and over again... it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but the haystack is just copies of Super Mario Odyssey! I mean, don't get me wrong, Super Mario Odyssey is a great game and all, but come on! Stardew Valley is awesome too, but do we really need two? 
And what's up with Tetris? It's like they took the name of every classic game and just added "99" to it... Tetris 99, Tetris 100, who cares?!

i mean who didn't play super smash bros ultimate with their friends for hours on end? and tetris 99 was a whole different level of competitive gaming i'm surprised stardew valley made it to the top 10 though, those farming sims are so chill lol. but seriously, i think what's crazy is how old some of these games are. like super mario bros and super mario odyssey are from like 20+ years ago and yet they're still relevant today. it just goes to show that some games really do stand the test of time 
Every single game on that list is from Nintendo or a indie dev with an american connection... where are our local devs? Don't get me wrong, those games are all sick and we should support 'em but what about our own talent? We need more of that regional flair to shine through! Where's our own gaming scene?! We need more devs who wanna put in the work to create something special for us, not just copy what everyone else is doing.
they've got some repeats goin on... like, what's the diff between Stardew Valley and just plain old Stardew? can't they make a new game or somethin'? and what's with all these Super Mario games? Like, maybe they're trying to make us associate those names with farming and relaxation, just so we don't notice the bigger picture. I'm telling you, it's all about the algorithms, bro! 
What if this list isn't even a top 10 at all? Maybe it's just a test run for some new "standard" that'll brainwash us into playing more of these games.... Like, what's up with the repetition? Two "Stardews" and two "Super Marios"? Can't they mix it up a bit? It feels like they're just phoning it in or something.. Like, it's a great game and all, but come on! It deserves more love than being at number 4? 
I feel like there are so many amazing games out there that deserve to be represented..
