I'm so stoked about this brain-computer interface stuff! I mean, can you even believe that there's a chip implanted in someone's retina to help them see again? It's wild! And yeah, 84% of people in the trial were able to read letters and numbers after just one year - that's insane! But for real though, we gotta be cautious about safety and accessibility. I mean, we've seen some adverse events with these implants and it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Plus, have you thought about how much this tech is gonna cost? The NHS is probably gonna have a hard time making it work for everyone, especially in the UK. But still, it's progress and I'm all about celebrating that! We're literally blurring the lines between humans and machines here... who knows what's possible next?!

I'm not sure if this tech is gonna make us all cyborgs or what but I think it's kinda cool that they're working on these brain-computer interfaces. It's crazy to think about how much of a difference something like this could make for people with vision loss. But, at the same time, we gotta consider the risks - like those adverse events reported in some trials... that's not exactly what I'd call a silver lining . And don't even get me started on accessibility - who's gonna afford these things? The NHS is already struggling to keep up with medical costs as it is . Still, I guess it's progress or whatever .
