I'm literally blown away by this latest development... Like, what even is going on with the Fed and Trump now? It's getting ridiculous!
Jerome Powell was just doing his job, following orders and setting interest rates based on best estimates... No drama, no fuss. And then BAM! Trump decides to investigate him for allegedly lying to Congress. Can we talk about how low this has sunk?
It's like, come on Trump... if you don't agree with someone's policies or actions, say so in a respectful manner instead of trying to ruin their rep and investigating them out of thin air. That's just not how it works in America... at all.
We need people like Powell who are willing to stand up for what's right, even if it means going against the president.
I'm seriously worried about the state of our democracy right now... Like, is this really what we've been reduced to? A president who can just do whatever he wants and expect everyone else to roll over?
It's gotta stop somewhere, right? We need to take a stand for our institutions and the rule of law.

I'm holding out hope that Powell will come out unscathed and that the investigation will reveal some kind of wrongdoing on Trump's part... but honestly, it feels like a long shot 
- the whole 'do what I want' vibe from Trump is super concerning 
- I mean, who needs checks and balances when you've got a president who's not afraid to wield that power? 
and honestly, it's kinda scary how much this guy is pushing the boundaries of what's considered 'normal' for a prez. Powell was just doing his job, no need for an investigation
