Tiroteo cerca de la escuela de La Villita deja a conductor gravemente herido, padres y maestros angustiados

Man this is crazy 🤯! I'm not saying it's a good thing but some people might think that schools should have metal detectors or security cameras just in case. Like, we can't assume that every school shooting will be preventable but at least being prepared would give parents and teachers some peace of mind 💕. And honestly who wouldn't want to see their kid's face on a surveillance monitor if it means keeping them safe? 🤔

I'm so shaken by this incident... 🤕 a 4-year-old kid can't even walk to school without feeling threatened? It's just not right 🙅‍♂️ I mean, parents are already worried about their kids getting hurt on the playground or in class, but now they have to worry about being shot driving to drop them off? 😨 And what really gets me is that this could've happened at any time, even when the school was open... can you imagine a 6-year-old hearing gunshots just down the hall from their classroom? 🤯

I think we need to be talking more about mental health and why some people feel so desperate that they resort to violence. Is it because of lack of resources or just plain old frustration? We can't keep ignoring these issues, we gotta face them head-on 💪 I'm not saying this will solve anything, but at least we should be having the conversation 🤔

🤕 my heart goes out to that poor family who lost their loved one in such a senseless act 🙏. as someone who's had kids growing up, it's hard not to think about all the what-ifs when something like this happens. how many times have you heard parents' worst fears confirmed in a situation like this? 😩 and can we imagine if that little girl Angela had walked into class just minutes after hearing her mom worry about her safety? 🤯 the thought alone is chilling.

anyway, kudos to those teachers for staying calm and keeping their cool 🙌. it's not easy to do when you're facing something like this. and props to the school administration for getting everything under control so quickly 💪. it's just heartbreaking that we have to live in a world where these incidents are even possible 😔.
