Tool helps determine how much money you can save by driving an EV

Electric Vehicle Owners Could Save Thousands a Year on Fuel Costs with New Calculator Tool.

A new tool is helping electric vehicle (EV) owners determine just how much money they can save by making the switch to an EV. According to Josh Boone, executive director of Veloz, a major industry group promoting the adoption of EVs, the main concern for people considering EVs is cost savings.

One of the most significant benefits of owning an EV is the potential to save money on fuel costs. In the average year, drivers can expect to save around $2,000 in gas expenses, which translates to approximately $166 per month. However, the exact amount of savings depends on how much and how often you drive.

Veloz has developed a national database and website called ElectricForAll.org that provides an online calculator for estimating fuel savings. To use the tool, users simply input information about their desired EV model, annual driving distances, fuel efficiency of their current gas vehicle, local average cost of gasoline, and zip code - which helps determine electricity costs in your area.

The calculator then generates an estimated fuel savings amount and a total annual savings figure, including maintenance costs. Boone explained that EVs typically require less maintenance than traditional gas-powered vehicles due to fewer moving parts, resulting in lower tune-up costs and the elimination of oil filter changes, spark plug replacements, and other regular maintenance tasks.

By using this calculator tool, potential EV owners can make an informed decision about whether a switch to electric is right for them financially.

OMG I'm so excited about this new calculator tool!!! ๐Ÿคฉ It's like, making the switch to an EV just got SO much easier! I've been thinking of getting one and now I have all the info I need to know how much I can save... $2k in a year is like, CRAZY savings ๐Ÿ˜ I love that it takes into account your zip code for electricity costs too, that's so smart! ๐Ÿค“ The fact that EVs require less maintenance is just another perk, less money out the window ๐Ÿ’ธ Can't wait to share this with my friends and family who are thinking of making the switch! ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿš€ I'm so stoked that there's finally a tool like ElectricForAll.org out there! Like, I've been eyeing an electric car for ages, but I was worried about the cost thingy... now I can see how much I'd actually save on fuel and maintenance. $2k is no joke! ๐Ÿค‘ But at the same time, it's not just about the money - EVs are getting so cool and quiet, and they're better for the planet too. It's awesome that Veloz is promoting this stuff and making it easy for people to make informed decisions. I'm definitely gonna check out the calculator tool and see what kind of savings I can expect! ๐Ÿ“Š

Just saw that new EV calculator thingy ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’ธ and I'm low-key sold on going electric. $2k a year in gas savings? That's like getting free money ๐Ÿ’•! Just gotta factor in higher upfront costs, but overall it seems like an easy win for my wallet ๐Ÿค‘.

Yaaas, I'm so down on this new tool ๐Ÿคฉ! It's literally gonna change the game for EV owners out there. Saving that kind of cash each year is insane ๐Ÿค‘! And let's be real, less maintenance means less stress too ๐Ÿ˜Œ. I know some ppl might still have concerns about range anxiety and charging time, but with tools like this one, it's getting easier to make the switch ๐Ÿ’ก. Anyone got an EV yet? ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿš€ I think its about time we started seeing some real savings on fuel costs for EV owners! The fact that we can get an estimate of around $2k in annual savings just by using an online calculator is insane ๐Ÿค‘. And lets be real, who doesn't love the idea of saving a few grand a year? It's not just about the money either, its about reducing our carbon footprint and doing what's best for the planet ๐ŸŒŽ. I mean, I've been considering getting an EV myself, but the cost was always my main concern. Now I'm thinking it might actually be worth it ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’ธ

omg $2000 is like wow that's insane! I was thinking of getting an ev but didn't know how much it would save me... i guess i'll def have to check out that website ๐Ÿค” what's the most efficient model? and how do you charge it anyway? my friend has a Tesla and it seems so cool ๐Ÿ˜Ž btw, have you tried avocado toast with feta cheese? ๐Ÿฅ‘๐Ÿง€

I think it's awesome that Veloz has created this tool, ElectricForAll.org, to help people calculate their potential savings with an electric vehicle. It makes total sense that EVs can save you thousands a year on fuel costs, especially considering how much lower the cost of electricity is compared to gasoline.

The fact that EVs require less maintenance than traditional gas-powered vehicles is also a huge bonus. Who doesn't love saving money on tune-ups and oil changes? ๐Ÿค‘ And with this calculator tool, people can make an informed decision about whether going electric is right for them financially.

It's also great that Veloz has made this information easily accessible online. It just goes to show that innovation and technology can make a real difference in our lives! ๐Ÿ’ป
