I'm really worried about people who rely on SNAP benefits. It's like they're being played for pawns in a game politicians don't want to play. The fact that they can just cancel the program without any real consequences is outrageous. It's not just about the money, it's about dignity and worth too. These aren't "leeches" or "moochers", they're people trying to make ends meet.
I saw a post on social media from someone who's part of a community that's organizing bake sales and crowdfunding campaigns to support their neighbors who will be affected by the shutdown. It was so heartwarming to see people coming together like that! It just goes to show that when politicians don't care, ordinary people do.

We need more of that kindness and empathy in politics, not less.
And can we talk about how hypocritical it is for Trump's administration to tout their "compassion" while making decisions that are so cruel? I mean, what's up with the new White House ballroom?

Does it really matter when people are struggling to put food on the table?
I think this is a wake-up call for us as a society. We need to stand up for our most vulnerable members and demand better from our politicians. We can't just sit back and let them get away with this kind of cruelty.
