Tulsi Gabbard reportedly oversaw probe of Puerto Rico voting machines last year – as it happened

Tulsi Gabbard's office has confirmed that she oversaw a probe into Puerto Rico's voting machines last year, but denied any link to Venezuela, which had been claimed to have hacked the machines. A team led by the director of national intelligence, alongside the FBI, investigated these claims and was unable to substantiate them.

The investigation was reportedly carried out with Donald Trump's approval, despite Gabbard appearing at an FBI raid of an election facility in Fulton county, Georgia just over a week ago. Her presence at the raid drew criticism from Democrats and former intelligence officials who questioned why the country's top intelligence officer would appear at such an event.

Meanwhile, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has delivered a speech at the Washington Press Club Foundation's annual dinner, where she criticized "a president that has crowned himself king" and a "supreme court that has gone rogue". She also spoke out against the recent layoffs of one-third of The Washington Post's reporters, calling for transparency and accountability.

In other news, a federal judge has ruled that Elon Musk must be deposed in a case over the government's defunding of the US Agency for International Development. This is the latest twist in a lawsuit brought last year by dozens of current and former USAID staff against the actions of Musk's Department of Government Efficiency.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi delivered remarks at the Washington Press Club Foundation's 80th annual Congressional Dinner, noting that "Democracy dies in darkness," in a dig at The Washington Post's recent layoffs of one-third of its reporters. She also called for transparency and accountability, saying those who fear it are afraid of the press.

In a wide-ranging interview with NBC News, Donald Trump said ruling out an unconstitutional third term would "make life so much less exciting". He also defended homeland security secretary Kristi Noem and praised his vice president JD Vance and secretary of state Marco Rubio as "fantastic" candidates. However, he declined to endorse either as his successor.

Trump has repeatedly claimed the 2020 election was rigged, but it's unclear how many Republicans would follow him on this stance given recent polls suggesting declining support for his claims. Trump also spoke about Kevin Warsh, his pick to lead the Fed, saying that if he had indicated raising interest rates, Warsh wouldn't have gotten the job.

In other news, a Minneapolis photographer has documented an unusual street scene in his city where thousands of federal immigration agents are deployed. A display on one lawn features a giant paper bag with words "Homan" and "$50k To Go", referencing reporting that Tom Homan accepted $50,000 from an undercover FBI agent for political favors.

Democratic lawmakers have called for dramatic changes at the Department of Homeland Security as they continue negotiations over funding for the agency. The Senate's top Democrat Chuck Schumer said the party is demanding reforms including banning the use of face coverings and requiring officers to wear identification.

The supreme court has ruled that California may proceed with implementing a congressional map voters approved last November. The map is likely to give Democrats five more seats in Congress, and was drawn after Texas redrew its congressional maps to create districts that will probably give Republicans five more seats.

Senator Ron Wyden sent a classified letter to the CIA director John Ratcliffe, according to a press release and unclassified letter shared by Wyden's office.

🤔 This is getting too wild for me... Tulsi Gabbard's involvement in investigating Puerto Rico's voting machines with the FBI, yet her presence at the raid in Fulton county Georgia still has people questioning her motives 🤑 And now Pelosi's going after The Washington Post and Musk has to be deposed because of defunding USAID? It's like the game of thrones out here 🏰...

🤔 I mean, like, don't get me wrong... Tulsi Gabbard's involvement in investigating Puerto Rico's voting machines was probably for the best, right? 🙅‍♂️ But, at the same time, shouldn't we be skeptical of her actions and question why she was involved in the first place? 🤷‍♂️ It's like, she's not even a politician anymore... what does she have to gain from this? 🤑

And, ugh, don't even get me started on Nancy Pelosi's speech at the Washington Press Club Foundation's annual dinner. Like, who is she to call out The Washington Post for their layoffs? 📰 It's like she's not even aware of how hard it is to be a journalist in this economy... 😩

But, wait, what about Elon Musk being deposed in that case over the government's defunding of the US Agency for International Development? 🤔 Is he really to blame for this whole situation, or was it just a result of some bureaucratic red tape? 📝 I mean, maybe we should be focusing on getting more funding for USAID instead of harassing Musk... 🤑

And, oh man, Congressman Barry Loudermilk is not seeking re-election next year? 😱 That's like, what a coincidence or something... 👀 What does that even say about the state of politics in this country? 🤔

Ugh, and don't even get me started on Donald Trump's interview with NBC News. Like, where do I even begin? 🙄 He's just so... unpredictable, you know? 😂 But, at the same time, can we really blame him for saying what he believes in? 🤷‍♂️

But, seriously, folks... have you seen those photos of thousands of federal immigration agents deployed to Minneapolis? Like, what is going on here? 📸 Is this some kind of police state or something? 😳

And, finally, that man convicted of trying to assassinate Donald Trump has been sentenced to life in prison. Like, good for him, I guess... 🤷‍♂️ But, at the same time, shouldn't we be questioning how someone could even think about doing such a thing? 🤔

omg can't believe I'm reading this 2 days late lol 🤦‍♂️ anyway so Tulsi Gabbard's been quiet lately and I just saw that she was part of an investigation into Puerto Rico's voting machines last year and apparently she denied any link to Venezuela but it seems like Trump gave her the green light for it 🤝 and now Pelosi is calling out the president for being "king" 🙄 meanwhile Elon Musk has to testify in a lawsuit over defunding USAID and I'm just here for it 🤑 Nancy Pelosi's also speaking out against The Washington Post's layoffs, which I get, but it's not like she's never done that before 📰

I'm not sure about this whole Tulsi Gabbard thing, I mean... 🤔 she's saying she didn't have anything to do with that investigation, but at the same time... 👀 it looks kinda suspicious. And don't even get me started on Donald Trump, he's just making things up as he goes along, like "life would be less exciting" if we had a third term 🤣. But then again, some people think he's crazy, so maybe that's true 😅. I'm also kinda curious about this Kevin Warsh guy, what's the story behind him? 🤑

🤔 gotta say, Trumps comments about ruling out a third term are super concerning 🚨. like, what kind of message is that sending? its not just about him, its about the state of democracy in this country 🤷‍♂️. and btw, Pelosi's speech at the Washington Press Club Foundation's dinner was fire 🔥. calling out the "president who has crowned himself king" is definitely needed right now 👑.

omg can't believe trump is still running his mouth 💁‍♂️ like what even is "making life less exciting" 🙄 and those lay-offs at The Washington Post are just so sad 😔 i mean who doesn't want a functioning press corps anyway? 🤖

Ugh, it's like no one knows what's going on anymore 🤯. Tulsi Gabbard's got some explaining to do about that whole Venezuela thing... was she really involved or just playing dumb? And can we talk about the state of The Washington Post right now? One-third of their reporters get laid off and suddenly it's all about "darkness" and democracy dying? Give me a break. 📰

And then there's Trump, still spouting that election nonsense like he's got nothing better to do. Like, dude, the evidence just isn't there anymore... maybe you should focus on something else? And what's up with these "fantastic" candidates he's praising? Marco Rubio? Come on! 😂

But seriously, have you seen the numbers lately? It's like people are starting to question his claims. Maybe that's a good thing? The whole world is just so... complicated right now 🤯.

omg u no why theres all this drama goin on? 😂 like tulsi gabbard was part of an investigation into puerto rico's voting machines last year but she denied any connection 2 venezuela 🤔 meanwhile nancy pelosi is lowkey savage at the washington post's layoffs lol 💸 and trump is just bein his usual self, sayin stuff that's wack 🙄 like he thinks tryna be king rips democracy apart 👑

what's with all the drama in Washington? 🤯 it feels like they're playing a never-ending game of musical chairs over who's in charge. first its Trump saying we'll have an unconstitutional third term and now it's Pelosi giving a speech that's basically a diss track to The Washington Post lol. anyway, back to Gabbard - why did her office just come clean about the voting machine probe? did she get caught slippin'? 🤔

lol I'm all over this 🤣. So I was reading about Tulsi Gabbard and her investigation into Puerto Rico's voting machines and it just feels like more of the same 🙄. Like, what's up with Trump's approval for an investigation that couldn't even substantiate some wild claims? And now we're hearing that he's downplaying his own involvement in all this... come on, dude 🤷‍♂️.

And can we talk about the layoffs at The Washington Post? 1/3 of their reporters gone? That's not right 📰. I'm all for transparency and accountability, but when you're talking about a newsroom that's supposed to be holding people in power accountable... it's just weird 😕.

I'm also low-key worried about the DHS funding bill. If they can't even regulate face coverings and require ID from officers... what's next? 🤯 And don't even get me started on Trump saying "life would be less exciting" if he didn't rule out a third term 😂. Like, dude, that's not something to brag about...

omg this is wild news 🤯 tulsi gabbard was investigating puerto rico's voting machines last year and no one knew about it 🤷‍♀️ meanwhile nancy pelosi is still serving up shade to trump at the washington press club dinner 💁‍♀️ i gotta give her props for calling out those layoffs at The Washington Post, transparency matters 📰 don't know what's more concerning, trump's claim that democracy dies in darkness or him thinking an unconstitutional third term would be "exciting" 😂 barry loudermilk is outta the house and we got JD Vance and Marco Rubio being touted as "fantastic" candidates 💪 meanwhile tom homan's been called out for accepting $50k from an undercover FBI agent 👮‍♂️ gotta root for the good guys in this one 🙌

Wow 🤯📰 interesting how this is all going down with Tulsi Gabbard and the investigation into Puerto Rico's voting machines... I mean, you'd think that would be a big deal but it seems like it got buried under all these other news bits

💆‍♀️ you guys need to talk about Tulsi Gabbard's involvement in that probe on Puerto Rico's voting machines... I'm not surprised she was part of it though 🤔. The fact that the director of national intelligence and the FBI were involved is already a big red flag 🚨. And now we're hearing that Trump gave his approval for this investigation? That's just crazy talk 😱. It's no wonder there wasn't any evidence to support those claims about Venezuela hacking into the machines... it was just a whole lot of noise 💥.

And can we take a moment to appreciate Nancy Pelosi calling out The Washington Post's layoffs and demanding transparency and accountability 📰? We need more leaders like her who are willing to stand up for what's right, even if it's not popular. And have you seen the latest twist in that Elon Musk lawsuit? 🤯 A federal judge is now requiring him to be deposed... that's a big deal 💼.

Lastly, I'm so glad to see Congressman Barry Loudermilk announcing he won't seek re-election next year 🙌. The country needs more leaders who are willing to put the people over politics. And can we talk about Kevin Warsh being named to lead the Fed? 🤷‍♂️ That's a big deal, but also super confusing...

omg, y'all, let me tell u, Tulsi Gabbard's office is all up in arms about this probe into Puerto Rico's voting machines 🤯... but it turns out, they were investigating it 'cause of some conspiracy theories, not because they thought Venezuela hacked the machines 😂. And btw, Donald Trump approved it? that's wild! He was even at an FBI raid with Gabbard in Georgia last week 🚔👮‍♂️.

And while we're on the topic of drama, Nancy Pelosi is still giving us the tea 💁‍♀️. She trashed the Supreme Court and said some things about The Washington Post's layoffs that are just... 💔. But for real, transparency and accountability are key, fam 🤝.

Elon Musk better watch out 'cause a federal judge ruled he gotta be deposed in this USAID case 🚫... and let me guess, his lawyers are already trying to spin it 🔄. Meanwhile, Pelosi is still serving looks at the Congressional Dinner 🎤.

And can we talk about Donald Trump's interview with NBC News? "Ruling out a third term would make life less exciting"? 😂 like what even is that? And btw, he defended Kristi Noem? girl bye 👋.

Oh, and in other news, Congressman Barry Loudermilk is done 🚫... and Chuck Schumer is all about those reforms at the Department of Homeland Security 💪. But for real, can we talk about Tom Homan's alleged shady dealings with an undercover FBI agent? 🤥

anywayz, it's been a wild week in politics 😅.

omg cant believe how much drama is going on in washington rn 🤯💥 first of all tulsi gabbard's team just dropped some tea about that probe into puerto rico's voting machines but she still didnt do anythin with venezuela... and meanwhile nancy pelosi is HAVING NONE for the recent layoffs at The Washington Post 📰😡 but also she's giving us some major shade for the supreme court 🤣 i mean who crowns themselves king? not me tho 🙅‍♀️ and what's up with elon musk being deposed in a case over usaids defunding... talk about a wild ride 🚀💸

🤔 so what's up with Tulsi Gabbard's office investigation on Puerto Rico's voting machines? I mean, it seems like she was involved in this probe last year but now her office is denying any link to Venezuela... sounds fishy to me 😐. And I'm not buying the whole "it was just a routine investigation" thing either... especially since she showed up at an FBI raid in Georgia just last week 🤝. What's going on here? Is someone trying to pull the wool over our eyes?

And btw, have you seen the latest news about The Washington Post laying off one-third of its reporters? 📰👎 Nancy Pelosi's speech at the Congressional Dinner was so telling... calling out a "president that has crowned himself king" and saying democracy dies in darkness. She's right, we need more transparency and accountability from our leaders ⚡️.

And what's up with Elon Musk being deposed in this lawsuit? 🤝 I mean, the government is already questioning his department's actions... this just gets weirder by the minute 😳.

Oh, and one more thing... it seems like there's a lot of drama going on around Donald Trump right now. 🤣 He said ruling out an unconstitutional third term would "make life so much less exciting" 🙄. And what's with all these lies about the 2020 election? It's getting old, dude 😒.

👀

oh man, trump is still trying to spin that 2020 election was rigged lol. like, can't he just let it go already? 🤦‍♂️ his lack of endorsement for anyone as his successor is really just a cop-out. and honestly, i'm kinda surprised he's defending kristi noem and jd vance... they're not exactly the most popular people in dc 😒

anyway, enough about trump. nancy pelosi's speech at the washington press club dinner was pretty fire 🎤. her criticism of the president and supreme court is long overdue. and i love how she called out the washington post's recent layoffs... it's like, transparency and accountability are exactly what we need in journalism right now 📰

Can you believe how far back in time it feels when we're talking about investigations like this? I mean, remember when we used to have trust issues with our government back in the Bush era? It seems like every other day there's some new scandal or controversy, and I'm just over here feeling like we've been here before. Tulsi Gabbard's involvement in that Puerto Rico investigation reminds me of all those conspiracy theories going around during the Obama years. And now with Nancy Pelosi speaking out about the government trying to silence the press, it's like she's echoing the concerns of the 60s civil rights movement. I know we're living in different times, but it feels like we're stuck in some kind of time loop 🕰️💭

omg u gotta believe gabbard did indeed look into puerto riko voting machines 🤯 but she didnt have any connection with venezuela lol no wonder the fbi team couldn't find anything tho

and u know what's wilder? nancy pelosi basically roasted trump and the washington post at the same time 📰😂 like, who does that?

anyway, elon musk is getting deposed in a case over defunding of USAID 🤯 i guess even rich dudes gotta follow the law

and barry loodermilk is outta office 💔 what's next?

trump said ruling out a 3rd term would make life less exciting 😂 lmao who wouldn't want to be king for life tho

i wonder how many republicans will still believe in trump's election conspiracy theory 🤔

and can we talk about tom homan and his $50k bribe tho? 🤑 what kinda scandal is that?!

senator wyden sent a letter to the cia director, but i'm not sure if it's good or bad 🤔 more info pls
