URC: Benetton 20-20 Scarlets - Spoils shared in Treviso fog

A dramatic United Rugby Championship draw in the foggy Treviso air saw Scarlets and Benetton share the spoils, each accumulating two points. The game got off to a lacklustre start with both teams struggling to find their rhythm as they battled through the heavy mist that shrouded Stadio Monigo.

Benetton took an early lead with Rhyno Smith booting them into a 10-3 advantage after only eight minutes, courtesy of two penalty kicks and Odogwu's try. But Scarlets were quick to respond when Gareth Davies slotted over in the 18th minute, reducing Benetton's lead.

The Italian side regained control as Garbisi sniped over for a classy try with nine minutes left on the clock, putting them 20-15 up before Macs Page levelled it out. However, teenage fly-half Carwyn Leggatt-Jones missed a routine conversion to put Scarlets back ahead, sealing an unwanted draw.

Both teams were guilty of missing late kicks and will settle for two points each in this thrilling encounter.

omg what a game!! so close yet so far for both teams 🀯 i mean benetton was on fire at first but scarlets came back strong with gareth davies' try πŸ˜… and garbisi's try too, he's got some serious skills πŸ‘ but u know what would've made the difference? those late conversions πŸ’”πŸ˜© carwyn leggatt-jones should've nailed it πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ anyway, gotta give credit to both teams for a game well played πŸ‘ even though they ended up with nothing more than 2 points each 😐

πŸ€” I'm so underwhelmed by the URC's reliance on penalty kicks πŸ“. It feels like a bunch of kick-and-ruck stuff all day, with teams not really going for it on the ball. Don't get me wrong, some of those tries were sick 😲, but overall, it was just a snooze fest.

I mean, can't we expect more from the likes of Benetton and Scarlets? They've got talented players like Garbisi and Leggatt-Jones, and yet they're still churning out draws instead of wins. It's like they're playing for second place or something πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ.

The foggy conditions were probably a great excuse, but at the end of the day, it's just bad football πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. I need to see some more aggression, some more creativity on the pitch. Until then, I'll be over here, watching rugby highlights from 2022 πŸ˜’

Ugh, I don't get why they didn't just go with the ball, you know? Both teams were being super cautious, like they were playing a game of rugby chess or something πŸ€”. And what's up with all these missed kicks? I mean, it's not exactly rocket science to kick the ball between posts πŸ˜‚. And that last conversion attempt by Leggatt-Jones was straight out of the "don't risk anything" playbook – nice move, Scarlets... NOT! πŸ‘Ž

I think the foggy conditions actually added to the intensity of the game lol πŸ˜‚. I mean, can you imagine trying to play rugby with barely any visibility? It was like a real-life video game! The way Scarlets responded after that early lead just showed their spirit 🀩. And Garbisi's try was absolute class - who knew a young fly-half had it in him? πŸ€“ Still, two points each is not the worst outcome for either team... at least they got to say they played in front of all those people in Treviso πŸ’ͺ

I don’t usually comment but... I was watching the game with my mates and we were all on the edge of our seats when that last-minute kick went wide 🀯! I think it's crazy how both teams are equal on points now, it feels like there should be a winner. Maybe Scarlets just got unlucky with those missed kicks? Benetton played some sweet rugby, Garbisi is like a magician out there πŸ’«. Still, you can't help but feel that Scarlets could've won it if they'd just kicked properly. Oh well, back to the drawing board for them πŸ‘

omg u no wat?? ther was soo much drama at stadio monigo lol scarlets & benetton played like 2 even teams lol they cant even decide wether its goin 2 be a win or draw πŸ˜‚πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ but honestly, carwyn leggatt-jones try was SO COOL 🀩 he made it look easy! tho i do feel bad for benetton, dey deserved that win πŸ’” anywayz, 2 points each is better than nothin right? πŸ‘

omg i was literally on the edge of my seat while watching this game it was so intense!!! i swear i almost got a heart attack when garbisi scored that try 🀯 i've been following benetton for ages now and they really deserve that 2pt win but alas scarlets were just too good πŸ˜‚ anyway i'm still reeling from the excitement of it all btw did u catch the misty conditions?? it was literally foggy out there in treviso ❄️

Ugh, I'm still trying to figure out why the article needs 5 paragraphs 🀯! Can't we just get straight to the point already? πŸ˜’ The actual match itself was pretty exciting though! That last-minute conversion miss by Scarlets' fly-half was SO close... I mean, can you imagine if he'd made that?! πŸ€” The foggy conditions definitely added to the drama of the game. And Garbisi's try was absolutely classy πŸ’ͺ. But seriously, 5 paragraphs is just too much for a sports article 😴. Can't we condense it into 2-3 at most? That would make it so much more readable! πŸ“„

Ugh, what a waste of points! I mean, come on guys, if you're gonna miss those kicks then just take the loss and move on πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. Scarlets had that one, they should've taken it all the way home. Benetton was solid, no doubt about it, but they gotta step up their game if they wanna beat someone like Scarlets πŸ™„. And what's with all these penalties? It's like a rugby version of chess - can't anyone just score some tries for once?! 😩

I don’t usually comment but I gotta say that was one crazy match! The foggy conditions must've messed with everyone's head, right? Like, who needs to see what they're doing when you can just feel the ball going under your feet? 🀣 Anyway, I think it's crazy how both teams struggled so much in the start. Benetton got that early lead but Scarlets were like "hold up, let's not forget we're here!" And then Garbisi's try was like a wake-up call for everyone involved. It just goes to show that even with all the hype and pressure, these players are still just trying to play the game. πŸ˜‚

So the URC is always full of surprises... I mean, who expected Benetton to take the lead so early? 🀯 But Scarlets came back strong, and that try by Gareth Davies was a great response. The game was super intense with all that fog, made it hard for both teams to get into a flow.

It's a bit frustrating for both sides because they're not getting the points they deserve, especially considering Carwyn Leggatt-Jones' missed conversion in the end πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. Still, two points each is better than nothing, right? And at least it shows that Scarlets are capable of beating Benetton, so there's hope for them going forward... Fingers crossed they can get a win next match! πŸ’ͺ

OMG, I just watched the rugby match between Benetton and Scarlets πŸ˜‚πŸ‰ and I'm like "what's going on here?!" The fog was so thick I couldn't even see my hand in front of my face 🀣. And don't even get me started on Carwyn Leggatt-Jones, the kid must've been sleepwalking when he missed that conversion πŸ˜΄πŸ‘€. On the bright side, at least they both got two points, or as I like to call it, a 'draw-ful' result πŸ€£πŸ†. Guess you could say it was a real "mist"-ery how they managed to end up 0-0! πŸ˜‚

πŸ€”πŸ’¦ That was such a crazy game! I was on the edge of my seat when Scarlets came back from behind 😲! Rhyno Smith's penalty kicks were πŸ”₯ but Benetton's response was πŸ’ͺ! Garbisi's try was pure class πŸ™Œ, but what really had me going was Macs Page's leveler 🀝. And omg, Carwyn Leggatt-Jones missed that conversion 😱... it's a shame he didn't stick the kick πŸ˜”. Still, both teams played with heart πŸ’• and it was an epic draw all round! πŸ‘ The foggy conditions added to the drama 🌫️, but I loved every minute of it πŸ˜ƒ

Wow 🀯 the weather conditions must've been crazy playing rugby in that fog! It's like they're trying to make it as hard as possible for the players πŸ˜… anyway, 2-2 is still a win, right? Scarlets had some great tries but Benetton's kicking game was solid. Interesting how both teams missed those conversions at the end...

So like I was watching this rugby game on the telly and it's all foggy outside which is super creepy 😱... I mean, I'm no expert but shouldn't they just use umbrellas or something? And what's up with all these penalties? It seems like everyone's just kicking the ball all over the place πŸ€”. Anyway, back to the game... so it was a pretty close match and I guess that's kinda exciting? Can someone tell me more about this United Rugby Championship thing? Is it like a big tournament or something? And what's with the teams sharing points if they're not even winning? It just seems weird πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

Lol what a game! I mean, I love the drama and all but can't we just get some decent weather for once? 🀣 And seriously, 2-0 for both teams is kinda disappointing? I know it's a draw but still feels like they should've taken that win. Carwyn Leggatt-Jones' missed conversion is gonna haunt him πŸ˜…. Garbisi's try was nice though! πŸ‘

Ugh πŸ˜’ the rugby game was soooo boring 🀯 I mean, i love rugby but treviso weather is just 😩 foggy all day long ☁️ makes it hard to see what's happening on the pitch πŸ‰. benetton and scarlets are like two teams that can't make up their minds πŸ€” either take the lead or drop it. Rhyno smith is like a cool aunt πŸ‘΅πŸ» who always scores penalties πŸ˜‰ but gareth davis is all about those conversions πŸ’―. i was on the edge of my seat πŸ˜‚ when carwyn leggatt-jones missed that conversion lol, like who does that? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ anyway, two points each is better than nothing πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ and now scarlets can practice for the next match πŸ‘Š.

man i was so hyped for that rugby match lol what's up with the fog tho? made it super hard to see the ball 🀣 anyway scarlets and benetton are both still good teams, gotta give it to them for going toe-to-toe like that βš”οΈ carwyn leggatt-jones is a talented young fly-half btw
