The thing about this game is that both teams showed incredible resilience and grit, especially considering the conditions they had to play in - all that fog! It's not easy to maintain concentration when visibility is reduced to almost zero, but Scarlets and Benetton really dug deep.
I think the turning point was when Gareth Davies scored that try. It was a real momentum-shifter and it showed that both teams were capable of producing quality rugby even on a tough day out. And then, of course, there's the game itself - it's all about the back-and-forth nature of it, with neither side willing to give in.
The thing that really caught my eye was how much pressure both fly-halves were under, especially Leggatt-Jones when he missed that conversion. It's clear they're young and still learning the ropes, but you can already see a lot of promise in them. Overall, it was an absolute thriller with some incredible moments - I'd love to see more games like this!
I watched that game with my grandkids the other day and it was like watching a bunch of big guys running around in circles. Foggy weather, penalties galore... reminded me of some of my old rugby matches back in the day. The young lads today are so athletic, but sometimes I think they're more worried about scoring points than playing the game properly. ️ Still, it was a cracking match and both teams showed spirit. I'm just glad no one got seriously hurt!
I'm still trying to figure out how they even managed to get the ball to move on that pitch, lol . The fog was so thick it looked like a sci-fi movie or something! Anyways, I think Scarlets were robbed of that win, they should've capitalized on those scoring chances... Benetton was all over them in the second half . Can't say I'm too fussed about this draw, but it's always nice to see some exciting rugby ️. And omg Carwyn Leggatt-Jones looks like he's gonna be a star one day!
Ugh I'd rather be talking about politics than rugby, but can we talk about the attendance numbers at these games? Like, 20k people braving the fog just to watch some guys kick a ball around... Meanwhile, climate change is real and it's affecting our weather patterns . And don't even get me started on the conversion misses, it's like they're trying to waste more energy than necessary! Can we focus on something that really matters?
Ugh, rugby is just so... exciting . I mean, who needs that much fog when you're trying to watch a game? It's like the Treviso air decided to put on a show just for me .
But seriously, Benetton and Scarlets were giving it their all out there. That Garbisi try was sick tho . And can we talk about how frustrating it is when you're watching a game and your favorite team is getting shut down by an opponent? . Carwyn Leggatt-Jones, what happened to that conversion?
I guess all's well that ends in a draw . Two points each isn't so bad, right? It's not like they actually had a chance at winning... or anything .
omg i cant even @ the level of foggy conditions they had in treviso lol 10-3 then 15-10 was a wild swing either way but that last minute missed conversion from scarlets is just heartbreaking carwyn leggatt-jones has to work on his mental toughness still, both teams played well and the draw is fair i guess?
