US oil giants silent on Trump claim they will spend billions on Venezuelan oil industry

omg i cant believe the us oil giants arent even commenting on trump's plan , like what are they hiding? it seems super suspicious that they're staying mum about this huge investment deal . i think its pretty clear that companies wont be jumping into venezuela anytime soon due to the oversupply in the global oil market . and dont even get me started on the whole stability thing , history has shown us what can happen when governments are all over the place. we just have to wait and see how this all plays out, but for now im keeping a close eye on it .

I think this whole situation with Trump's plan for Venezuela's oil industry is super sketchy . I mean, come on, billions and billions of dollars without even a word from the actual companies? That sounds like some shady business deal to me . And now they're just keeping mum and monitoring developments? Not cool .

I'm all for businesses making profits, but this feels like a recipe for disaster. Venezuela's history is pretty checkered when it comes to corruption and mismanagement, so I can see why the oil giants are hesitant to jump in without some guarantees . The global oil market is already oversaturated, so they're not exactly itching to take on new risks either .

I'm also a bit curious about what's going on behind the scenes here... did Trump just wing it and hope for the best? Either way, this is definitely keeping me up at night .

I'm thinking it's gonna be super tough for Trump's plan to fly if no one from Chevron or ExxonMobil can even give a straight answer about whether they're interested in investing in Venezuela's oil industry . I mean, these companies have been burned before and now with the global oil market oversupplying everyone is just being extra cautious about throwing their money around...like it's 2008 all over again

idk why these big oil corps r so quiet about trump's plan ... seems like they just wanna sit on their hands & wait for things to get more stable in venezuela meanwhile, trump is just gonna make a bunch of promises & maybe even invest some $$ but when will they actually put their money where their mouth is ?? and btw, what's with all these ppl speculating about the legality of this whole thing ? can't we just get some straight answers for once ?

I'm low-key surprised that Trump is trying to rebuild Venezuela's oil industry like it's his own personal side project . I mean, what's next? A reality TV show where he gets to make friends with Venezuelan CEOs and shout 'You're fired!' when they can't meet production targets? Meanwhile, Chevron just keeps on saying "Hey, we care about our employees' safety" - good luck trying to sell that to the US government . The oversupply of oil is like, totally a thing right now (obvi), so it's not like these companies are going to jump into Venezuela without thinking twice . One thing I do love is how Tina Fordham just dropped a super chill phrase - "huge opportunity" ... sounds like something Trump would say too
