so this is like, a major overhaul of their oil sector, big whoop private companies are gonna run it now, great, just what they needed more corporations making money off suffering people . but honestly, it's about the US wanting control over Venezuela's oil reserves, no surprise there . and yeah, some analysts say it's a positive step, but others are like "yeah right" . and can we talk about how they're still trying to control everything? like, can't they just let them have their oil and be done with it?

lol what a wild turn of events ... I think this new law is like, a step in the right direction tho private companies getting more control over production and sales might just bring some life back into Venezuela's oil sector it's crazy how the US is all about reviving their interests here though i mean i get it, they wanna capitalize on those massive oil reserves but can't they just leave us alone lol the thing is tho, this law still seems kinda sketchy and lacks clarity what's gonna happen to PDVSA and all that jazz? will private companies really be able to exercise more control over operational decisions? idk man, it's like they're playing with fire

I'm not sure if this is a good idea... like, don't get me wrong, it's great that they're trying to revamp their oil sector and all , but I'm still worried about the private companies taking control over production and sales. What if they just prioritize profits over the country's interests? It feels like we're just swapping one set of problems for another... and what about PDVSA? Are they gonna get pushed out or what? omg u guys idk what 2 think about venezuela's new oil law like on one hand its super positive that private companies are gonna take control and bring in some much needed capital but on the other hand like whats the point of making changes if we dont know how theyre gonna work out? i mean david vera is lowkey saying it was necessary but still kinda meh and im just over here thinking about how venezuelas oil industry has been in crisis for years like 3.4 million barrels a day to 1 million barrel a day wut happened?
