man this is getting super dark I feel like we're at a breaking point here in the US...the killing of Alex Pretti was already so senseless, and now this "vice signaling" thing is just wild it's like they're trying to normalize this kind of behavior, which is not only wrong but also super un-American if you ask me. I do think Trump's admin is playing with fire, though...they're basically creating a powder keg situation that's gonna blow up at some point.
I'm also concerned about the fact that we're not seeing enough pushback from Congress I mean, they could be doing so much more to hold this admin accountable for their actions. And what's with all these protests being planned? We need to see more than just signs and chants, we need real change
I was just reading this crazy article about the best pizza joints in the city and I'm like 99% sure that my fave spot has the sickest BBQ chicken wings too... have you tried it? And can we talk for a sec about how awesome it is when a show gets renewed? I mean, I was so invested in that last season of The Office and I'm still waiting to see what happens next . Anyway, back to this whole Trump thing... yeah, it's super concerning but let's not forget about the importance of having good popcorn at the movies – nothing beats a bucket of fresh, buttery goodness while watching a blockbuster film .
A diagram to represent the Trump administration's approach to immigration would be a big red circle with a line through it
This recent killing by Border Patrol agents is a huge wake-up call for me... I'm thinking of drawing a simple brain with two parts, one that says "this is not okay" and another that says "we need to take action"
The idea of "vice signaling" is like a game of Jenga, you know? You start by removing small pieces (ignoring norms), but eventually it all comes crashing down
As someone who values democracy and human decency, I'm thinking of drawing a simple graph showing how the Trump administration's actions are affecting marginalized groups... a steep downward curve
The Supreme Court's decision to effectively give him a free pass is like drawing a line through the word "accountability" on a piece of paper
I want to draw a big Venn diagram with two overlapping circles, one labeled "our values" and another labeled "the Trump administration's actions"... it's clear where they intersect
u guys gotta be kidding me, this is what happens when you give power to someone who thinks they're above the law... I mean, leaving cards with the ace of spades on some poor dude's body? that's not "vice signaling" that's just plain cruel. and don't even get me started on the fact that Trump's getting away with all this because of some fancy footwork by the Supreme Court it's like they're more interested in shielding their buddies than doing what's right.
and omg, the whole idea that we need to confront our own complicity in perpetuating systems of oppression is SO true... I feel like I've been living under a rock or something. we need to start calling out this kind of behavior when it happens and demanding better from ourselves and others not just sitting back and waiting for someone else to fix it.
