Win hardware, collectibles, and more in the 2025 Ars Technica Charity Drive

Ars Technica Charity Drive: Win Big and Give Back

If you're a tech enthusiast, gamer, or simply someone who appreciates great prizes, this is the perfect time to help yourself and others. The 2025 Ars Technica Charity Drive is now live, offering a wide range of high-value geek goodies, including gaming hardware, collectibles, apparel, and more.

The drive is in support of Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity, which provides toys and games to kids being treated in hospitals around the world, as well as the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which defends Internet freedom. In recent years, Ars readers have donated nearly $40,000, contributing to a total haul of over $542,000 since 2007.

This year's drive features over a dozen prizes valued at nearly $5,000 in total, including a ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet/laptop, a Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold with case, an Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Collector's Edition for PC, and Analogue 3D and Analogue Duo retro gaming hardware.

To enter the sweepstakes, simply donate to Child’s Play using a credit card or PayPal, or donate directly to the EFF using one of these methods. You can also support Child’s Play by picking an item from their Amazon wish list on its donation page. Donate as much or as little as you feel comfortable with - every bit helps.

Once your donation is processed, register for the sweepstakes by sending a digital copy of your receipt to [email protected] with your name, postal address, daytime telephone number, and email address by January 2, 2026. US residents only; no purchase necessary; see Official Rules for more information.

But what really gets me is that all these prizes are going towards such an amazing charity. Child's Play and EFF do so much to support kids in hospitals and fight for internet freedom, respectively. It's awesome to see people coming together like this to make a difference 🌟.

And the best part? You don't have to be a huge tech enthusiast or gamer to participate - anyone can donate and potentially win some awesome prizes! 🎁 So, if you've got some spare cash or just want to treat yourself, go check out the charity drive and see what's up for grabs 💸.

OMG, this charity drive is like, so awesome 🤩! I'm totally stoked to see all these sick prizes up for grabs 💥. Like, who wouldn't want a ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet/laptop or an Indiana Jones collector's edition? 😍 It's not just about winning big though - it's about supporting some amazing causes too ❤️.

I love how Ars Technica is teaming up with Child's Play and the EFF to bring joy to kids in hospitals and defend internet freedom 🌐. And the best part is, anyone can participate - you don't have to be a huge tech enthusiast or gamer to make a difference 💖.

The prizes are insane, but it's not just about the stuff itself, it's about the fact that you're supporting some awesome organizations and helping out those who need it most 🙏. So, let's all get behind this charity drive and show some love ❤️.

Ugh, I'm so excited about this! 🤩 Those prizes are insane! ROG Flow Z13? Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold? Indiana Jones collector's edition? 😍 And it's all for a good cause too. Child's Play and EFF do such amazing work with kids in hospitals. It's awesome that Ars Technica is organizing another charity drive to support them.

I'm definitely donating, not just because I need some new gaming gear 😉, but also to be part of this amazing effort. And who knows, maybe I'll even win something awesome. 🤞 What a great way to start the new year - giving back and potentially scoring some sick prizes. Good on Ars Technica for doing this! 👏

Umm, have you guys ever noticed how every time there's a charity drive like this, they just happen to give away super valuable stuff that nobody actually needs? Like, what's the real motive here? Are they trying to distract us from something bigger? And don't even get me started on the fact that it's all just a bunch of gaming gear and collectibles... where's the tech for good that we really need? 🤔

Yooo 🤣, I'm lovin' this charity drive - not just 'cause it's for a good cause, but also because you get to win some sick gaming gear 💻👍. I mean, who wouldn't want a ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet/laptop or an Analogue Duo retro gaming console? 🤯 It's like the ultimate gaming Christmas present... to yourself 🎁.

And let's not forget about the awesome collectibles - Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Collector’s Edition? That's some serious nerd cred right there 💪. I'm surprised they didn't include a Nintendo Switch 2 prize pack with a few extra batteries for when you inevitably run out of juice 😂.

The best part? You don't even have to spend money on it, just donate and enter the sweepstakes 🎉. Every little bit helps, and who knows, you might just win something amazing. Plus, it's always good to give back to the community... or in this case, give yourself a sweet gaming prize 🤓.

omg i cant believe its that time of the year again for the Ars Technica charity drive! 🤩 i was like 12 when they first started this thing and now im all grown up but still super stoked to help out. 542k raised since 2007 is mindblowing lol what a great way to give back, especially with those sick gaming prizes 🎮💥 cant wait to check out the sweepstakes, gonna donate at least 20 bucks and enter my name for a shot

Wow 💥 I'm already thinking of donating, the prizes are insane 🤯! Who wouldn't want a ROG Flow Z13 or a Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold? 😍 And supporting these great charities is amazing. Penny Arcade's Child's Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation are doing so much for kids in hospitals and the internet community, respectively. 🙌

🤑 This charity drive is kinda lame, if you ask me. Like, what's the point of just getting stuff for yourself and then winning a prize? Can't we all just donate some cash directly to Child's Play or EFF without having to participate in a sweepstakes? 🤔 It's not like it's gonna make a huge difference either way... but hey, if you wanna get your hands on some sweet gaming hardware and collectibles, go for it! 😊

🤑👀 I'm low-key hyped for this charity drive, it's amazing to see the gaming community come together to support good causes. I mean, who doesn't love winning some sick gear while doing their part? 🤯 From Analogue 3D and Analogue Duo retro gaming hardware to the ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet/laptop - it's a haul that'll make any gamer drool. 💻 But what really gets me is the support for Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity, which is all about bringing joy and comfort to kids in hospitals around the world. 💕 It's so cool to see the Ars Technica community rallying behind such an awesome cause. 🌟

I'm so stoked about this 🤩! Charity drives like this one are a great way for us to give back and support some amazing causes. I mean, who doesn't love winning some sick gaming gear or collectibles, right? 😂 It's awesome that Ars Technica is hosting this drive in support of Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

I've gotta say, the prizes look pretty epic 🤯! That ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet/laptop sounds like a dream come true for any gamer. And supporting EFF, which defends Internet freedom, is super important too 💻.

Donating to these charities can make a real difference in people's lives, especially kids who need it most ❤️. Even if you're not in the US, there are still ways to support Child's Play and EFF, like picking items from their Amazon wish list or donating directly 🛍️.

I'm definitely entering this sweepstakes and donating as much as I can 💸. Who knows, maybe I'll win something amazing too 😄!

I'm not sure why we always gotta be so generous with our time and money 🤑. I mean, think about it, most people can't even afford the games and gear they want let alone donate to charity for a chance at winning them 😒. It's like, if you're gonna give away free stuff, maybe you should just give it all away in the first place and be done with it 🤷‍♂️.

But I guess that's just not how it works... most of us are willing to shell out a few bucks for a chance at some sweet prizes 😎. And hey, if donating to good causes like Child's Play and EFF is gonna get me a sick gaming rig or retro console, I'm all in 🤪. Just don't expect me to be too enthusiastic about it...

omg, like i cant even right now 😂 its literally the best thing ever that ars is doing this charity drive again!!! 🎁 i mean who doesnt love winning sick gaming hardware and collectibles? 🤩 plus supporting a great cause is like, the ultimate bonus win 🏆 im already donating to childs play and eff, cant wait to register for the sweepstakes too! 💖 anyone else participating? 🤔

🤓 I think it's fantastic that Ars Technica is hosting a charity drive to support great causes like Child's Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. It's wonderful to see tech enthusiasts come together to give back, especially when they can win amazing prizes in the process 🏆. The variety of prizes on offer, from gaming hardware to collectibles and apparel, has something for everyone. By participating, people can not only stand a chance to win big but also contribute to making a positive impact on kids' lives and protecting internet freedom. Let's encourage more folks to join in on the fun and give generously 😊.
