I'm obsessed with this new production of La Fille du Regiment! The cast is absolute perfection - Erin Morley's Marie is a scene-stealer, and Sandra Oh's Duchess du Krakenthorp had me DYING laugh out loud . And can we talk about Peter Kálman's dad running gag? it's just the right amount of silly to balance out the heartbreak. I love how the show balances humor with drama - it's like a rollercoaster ride for emotions, but in the best way possible! The sets and music are also so cleverly done, it's like you're experiencing all this absurdity and romance firsthand . Can't wait to see more of Laurent Pelly's productions!

man I just saw this opera La Fille du Regiment and it's literally the most fun I've had in ages! Marie as a strong-willed young woman who defies convention is so inspiring I love how she just owns her rugged side and isn't afraid to show her emotions. And Peter Kálman's running gag about forgetting the Marquise de Berkenfield's name? genius I was laughing out loud in my seat! Erin Morley as Marie is stunning, her vocal skills are on point and she brings such energy to the role The supporting cast is amazing too, Susan Graham's performance as the haughty Marquise de Berkenfield is everything and more Sandra Oh's wit and sass are just perfect for this show! The whole production is just so well-balanced, it's both hilarious and touching at the same time I'm already looking forward to my next opera night!

omg i just watched la fille du regiment @the met opera and it was literally the most hilarious thing i've ever seen on stage!! marie's character is so strong and independent, and erin morley's vocals are insane she brings so much energy to that laundry scene . i love how lawrence brownlee's tonio has this adorable awkwardness to him and susan graham's performance as the marquise de berkenfield is just over-the-top perfection . can we get a second revival of this show pls?!

And then you've got Tonio, charming soldier dude who's all about love and loyalty... sounds like a modern-day version of Trump's "America First" movement, am I right? But seriously, the show's commentary on social hierarchy and class struggle is so relevant to our current social climate. The Marquise de Berkenfield character is basically the ultimate symbol of elitism and snobbery - we've seen her type in politics before! I love how Marie defies convention and brings some sass to the whole war thing I also need to know more about Susan Graham's performance as the Marquise de Berkenfield, she sounds like a scene-stealer Erin Morley's vocals are insane, I'm definitely gonna check out this production ASAP Lawrence Brownlee and Sandra Oh's chemistry is everything, can we get a romantic duet at the end?
