An initial look at the Eagles' 2026 free agents

I'm surprised they got so many free agents this offseason 🤔. I mean, 20 players is already a lot, but when you consider the big names that left last year, it's almost like they're trying to rebuild from scratch 💼. Tight end and left tackle are definitely areas that need attention, and I think Dallas Goedert is still one of their top options at tight end 🤞.

But what really caught my eye is Fred Johnson, the left tackle. He didn't get much playing time last season, but he showed flashes of brilliance when he was on the field 🔥. And Brett Toth, who played some center and LG snaps, could be a solid backup for them too 👍.

On defense, I'm surprised they're not re-signing Jaelan Phillips and Nakobe Dean ASAP 🤦‍♂️. Those two were lights out last season, and it's not like they have any other options at those positions 😅. And what happened to Josh Uche and Azeez Ojulari? They came in with so much hype, but couldn't make an impact 🤔.

Oh, and I just realized that Grant Calcaterra is going to be a blocking TE2 this offseason 🙄. Like, why did they even draft him as a tight end if they knew he wasn't good enough for the role? 😂

I'm so over the lack of big-name free agents this year 🤔💔 Philly fans were expecting more fireworks in the market but I guess it's all about building through the draft and smart signings 👍🏽. Goedert is still a solid choice for tight end, but they need someone who can block like a pro 🤘. Johnson at left tackle could be the answer but they'll have to decide if he's worth the investment 💸. Toth's playing time is a great sign, so fingers crossed he stays on the O-line 👏. Dotson was just okay last season and I don't see him as a starter anytime soon 😐. Anyways, it's gonna be an interesting offseason in Philly 🤔!

omg i cant believe its already that time of year again for nfl free agency! 🤯🏈 the eagles have some tough decisions ahead of them especially with their o-line needs 🤦‍♂️ tight end is looking pretty crucial and i think they should try to keep dallas goedert he was on fire last season 🔥 what do you guys think?
