An initial look at the Eagles' 2026 free agents

Philadelphia Eagles Have 20 Free Agents This Offseason, Fewer Big Names Than Last Year.

The Philadelphia Eagles have 20 free agents this offseason, although a year ago they had more big-name players available in the market. The team's coaching staff will analyze each player further through their "stay or go" series, but for now, here is a list of all the players who are eligible to become free agents.

The main positions that need to be addressed this offseason are tight end and left tackle. Dallas Goedert is one of the key players at tight end and he played well last season with 60 receptions for 591 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has a history of being an excellent blocker as well, but hasn't been able to replicate that skill in every season.

Another free agent who needs attention is Fred Johnson, the left tackle. Although he wasn't able to secure a starting spot last season, he played reasonably well when called upon, particularly when Lane Johnson was injured.

Brett Toth also needs to be considered as a free agent. He played 199 snaps at LG and 164 snaps at C in 2025, surpassing Landon Dickerson's playing time at center. This shows that Toth has the skills needed to fill in gaps on the O-line.

On the other side of the ball, Jahan Dotson is a tight end who played mostly as WR3 last season with just one touchdown. He made an impressive appearance in the Super Bowl but failed to have much impact throughout the regular season.

Grant Calcaterra will be a free agent this offseason and could potentially play in 2026 as a blocking TE2, a position that doesn't suit his skillset at all. Matt Pryor played multiple positions last season and may be able to find new opportunities on an O-line.

Kylen Granson is another tight end who had some success in the regular offense but struggled during special teams, while Sam Howell was part of a trade deal with the Eagles. Ben VanSumeren will likely not get an RFA tender, despite being a crucial fullback for several years.

On defense, Jaelan Phillips and Nakobe Dean need to be re-signed by the team, as both players had impressive performances last season. Reed Blankenship is also expected to see significant pay increases in 2026.

The Eagles' secondary unit had some concerns throughout the season, with CB Adoree' Jackson proving to be a solid but affordable option for the future. Brandon Graham's return would be welcomed back by the team as he filled in for injured players last season. Marcus Epps may get more playing time after signing before the start of the season.

Josh Uche and Azeez Ojulari failed to make an impact during their time with the Eagles, while Ogbo Okoronkwo's injury will cost him a full season of play.

the nfl offseason is already feeling kinda meh πŸ€” i mean dont get me wrong, some players gotta move on but 20 free agents feels like a lot for one team esp when u consider the big names that slipped thru their fingers last year πŸ€‘ maybe they should focus on building from within instead of chasing after all these free agent signings?

😐 I think it's kinda surprising they have 20 free agents this offseason, especially when you consider how well some of them performed last year πŸ€”. Dallas Goedert is definitely one to keep an eye on, he's been doing a great job at tight end and blocking too πŸ’ͺ. But I'm not sure if Grant Calcaterra is the right fit for him as a blocking TE2 πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. On defense, it's great that Jaelan Phillips and Nakobe Dean are expected to get re-signed, they were pretty impressive last season πŸ‘. Maybe they should focus on finding some solid starters in the secondary though? πŸ€”

idk about this offseason for the Eagles lol, 20 free agents is crazy! 🀯 they gotta find ways to keep most of these guys or risk having some major issues on their O-line... i mean Dallas Goedert and Fred Johnson are key players, but Toth is like a dark horse here... if he can stay healthy and prove himself. also, Jahan Dotson was expected to do more with his talent, guess we'll see how it plays out in 2026 πŸ€”

aww man... it sounds like this offseason is gonna be pretty chill for the eagles πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ they got some solid free agents coming up but not as many big-name players as last year πŸ€‘ hopefully they can find some gems in the mid-tier signings tho πŸ’Ž tight end and left tackle are def areas that need some love πŸ™ Dallas Goedert is a key player, fingers crossed he stays put 🀞

im so down 4 the eagles 2 have some changes next season πŸ˜‚πŸˆ they got some big names comin thru the pipe but its all about findin those solid starters 4 tight end & left tackle, idk why ppl think goedert's a keeper, he was ok last yr but not exactly blowin me away πŸ€”πŸ‘Ž dallas needs 2 step up his game if hes gonna be da real deal. on da O-line side, toth is lookin good, gotta see more from him tho 🀞πŸ’ͺ

I think 20 free agents is kinda crazy, right? 🀯 But on the bright side, it means the coaching staff gets to work with so many talented players and figure out who fits their team culture best. I mean, Dallas Goedert has been amazing for years, but we all know he's not perfect... maybe this is his chance to prove himself all over again? 🀞 As for Brett Toth, it's awesome that he got more playing time than Landon Dickerson - I think he's got some legit skills there! πŸ’ͺ

I gotta say, I'm kinda surprised they don't have more big names available this offseason πŸ€”... I mean, it was just last year and everyone thought they'd be making some huge moves. Guess you can never count on these NFL teams to stay consistent πŸ˜…. So, tight end is like a major priority spot right now, and it's gonna be tough for them to find someone who can block well πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ... Goedert was actually pretty solid last year, but if he doesn't stay I don't know how they're gonna fill that gap 😬. On defense, it's like Jaelan Phillips and Nakobe Dean were just too good to keep around πŸ€‘, so yeah, re-signing them is a must πŸ’―...

omg u guyz 🀯 i cant believe how many free agents the eagles got lol 20? thats crazy! but honestly, im not super sure about some of these guys idk bout grant calcaterra tho he seems like a waste on a blocking te2 idk if hes worth saving for next yr

anyway i do think dallas goedert and jahan dotson could make a sick combo at tight end idk bout fred johnson tho wasnt he that bad last season lol but brett toth could be the man im thinking of him playing center more than landon dickerson is some good news

i'm hyped for the eagles to make some moves tho πŸ€‘ hope they sign nakobe dean and jaelan phillips back bc we all know how much they bring to that defense

πŸ€” I'm kinda surprised the Eagles aren't making more big moves this offseason, considering how far they went last year 🏈. I mean, they did lose some key players but they also made some solid picks in the draft πŸ’‘. Still gotta see what the coaching staff decides on these free agents, but it'll be interesting to see who sticks around πŸ”¬

The Eagles' offseason is gonna be super interesting this year πŸ€”. They've got some solid pieces that they need to re-sign, like Jaelan Phillips and Nakobe Dean, but it seems like some big-name players from last year won't be back... yet 😐. I'm kinda surprised they're not prioritizing Dallas Goedert more, he's been a beast in the red zone 🏈πŸ’ͺ. Meanwhile, guys like Fred Johnson and Brett Toth are flying under the radar - let's hope they get some love in free agency! 🀞 Also, it's a shame Grant Calcaterra won't be back for another year... he was always fun to watch πŸ’•. On defense, I'm hyped to see what happens with Brandon Graham - that guy's experience is gold πŸ’―

omg i cant even believe its that many free agents lol 20 players need to be signed or released ASAP 🀯🏈 i mean dont get me wrong dallas goedert is still a beast but 11 touchdowns in one season is crazy! 🀯 meanwhile fred johnson needs more playing time and brett toth is my dude he deserves a spot on the o-line 🀝 but seriously what happened with jahan dotson? wasnt he supposed to be that superstar tight end? πŸ€”

So I guess the Eagles are gonna have some big decisions to make this offseason πŸ€”. They've got a good number of free agents and not all of them were super productive last year. Like, Dallas Goedert is one of the better tight ends they've got, but can he maintain that level? And Fred Johnson's gotta step up as left tackle, it's not like he was getting much playing time last season πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

It's also interesting to see some guys like Jahan Dotson and Grant Calcaterra who aren't really fitting into their roles. I mean, Calcaterra's a blocking tight end at heart, but they're trying him out as a TE2? It's a risk, right? 😬

And on defense, it's all about re-signing guys like Jaelan Phillips and Nakobe Dean. They were both beasts last season and you gotta keep them if you can πŸ’ͺ. The secondary is still a mess, so I'm not holding out much hope for that πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ.

I do love seeing some of these players get some playing time, though. Like Marcus Epps, who showed up before the season and just clicked into place ⚑️. So yeah, this offseason is gonna be interesting to watch πŸ“Ί

I'm thinking about my trip to Japan last year πŸ—ΊοΈπŸœ, I went to this tiny town in the mountains and had the best ramen ever! It was this super rich tonkotsu broth that just melted all over my noodles 🀀. Anyway, back to football... have you guys seen any good games or highlights from last season?

yooo what's good team eagles fans?! so they got 20 free agents this offseason and i'm thinking it's gonna be a wild ride πŸ€―πŸ˜‚. tight end is definitely a need, but gotta see how goedert's numbers hold up... he was on fire last season! πŸ’₯ meanwhile, freddy johnson needs to get some love too, he showed promise when lane was out and brett toth should be considered for the c/g spot, his snaps are gonna increase πŸ“ˆ. don't sleep on matt pryor either, that dude can play anywhere πŸ”₯

OMG 🀯 I'm so hyped for this offseason already!!! The Eagles have some BIG decisions to make, but I think they'll nail it πŸ’ͺ! Tight end is a must-fix and Dallas Goedert is such a beast πŸ’₯! He's gonna get that contract extension no doubt about it πŸ’Έ. And left tackle Fred Johnson is like the new Lane Johnson 🀝🏻... whoever takes over will be SO solid!

I'm also super low-key rooting for Jahan Dotson to bounce back from his Super Bowl appearance, he's got potential 🌟! And Brett Toth getting more snaps is a no-brainer πŸ’―. On D, Nakobe Dean and Reed Blankenship need those extension extensions stat ⏰! Can't wait to see what the offseason brings πŸ€”πŸ‘€

I'm so down for one thing tho... 20 free agents? Sounds like they got washed out by all those big-name players last year πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Like, what even is the point of having that many guys who can just leave whenever they want? And now we gotta deal with the headache of figuring out who's stayin' or goin'? Not my fave thing to watch...

πŸ€” I'm lowkey worried about our O-line this offseason πŸš¨πŸ’¦ I mean, we lost Lane Johnson last year and Fred Johnson didn't get consistent playing time πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ but Brett Toth is looking promising πŸ‘€ 60 snaps at LG and C in 2025? That's some serious reps for a backup 😎 And then there's Grant Calcaterra who could be stuck on the bench as a blocking TE2 🚫 I'm hoping our coaching staff can find ways to get him more playing time, but idk...πŸ’‘ What do you guys think? Should we prioritize O-line or focus on some other positions first? πŸ€”
